Cleaning Up The Troublemaker (Part 2)

Liang Hongyu' sarcasm left Mrs. Yang stunned, especially after she criticized her harshly.

There were several young men in the Huo family who were about to get married, and one was currently engaged.

If her actions ruined the marriage, she would become the family's villain.

She anxiously tried to explain herself to the people outside.

The Huo family elder, shaking with anger, exclaimed, "You have no respect for your elders and bring shame to the Huo family!"

He pointed at Liang Hongyu and shouted to those outside, "You! Come here! Take her to the ancestral hall for punishment!"

The elders of the family held some authority, and as soon as he spoke, the people outside began to approach.

"Shut up!"

Liang Hongyu's patience had run out.

"You... you..."

"What about me? Huo Dagou comes here with ill intentions and letting people criticize the younger generation, and you say nothing. Mrs. Yang calls me an outsider and meddles in our family affairs, and you say nothing. You abuse your seniority to oppress others and threatening to drag people to the ancestral hall. It seems the Huo family has no one left. If I were you, I'd be too ashamed to face my ancestors and would jump into the river before reaching the village gate."

Each accusation hit the elders hard, and their faces turned pale.

Their chests were rising and falling violently, struggling to catch their breath and nearly collapsing from the stress.

Liang Hongyu's sharp voice continued, "What are you staring at? If you don't leave immediately, I'll report you to the authorities for trespassing."

Not only were Huo Dagou and the onlookers shocked, but even Wu Erlang was taken aback.

No one expected Liang Hongyu to be this fierce and showing no respect for the elders.

He Bingwen, who was used to dealing with various situations, couldn't hide his shock and surprise either.

Realizing the situation was escalating, he offered a way out.

"Uncle, since Tianzhou doesn't want to, I think we should let it go. He's been with Mrs. Gongsun since he was young... Now that she's gone, it's understandable that he's not ready to think about another marriage even though he doesn't have children now."

The Huo family elder, who hadn't faced such disrespect in decades, was caught off guard by being publicly challenged by someone who is younger than them.

Feeling humiliated, he huffed, turned on his heel, and left quickly, moving more briskly than ever before.

Mrs. Wang took the opportunity to slip away too, terrified by the threat of involving the authorities.

She vowed never to take on such a task again, no matter how much money was offered.

He Bingwen glanced at the still disgruntled Huo Dagou and his group.

He walked over and dispersed the crowd, "Alright, everyone, let's get back to work. Don't you have fields to tend to and dinner to prepare?"

The villagers gradually dispersed and they're chatting animatedly about the events as they went back to their homes.
