CHAPTER 10

THE DAY OF THE WEDDING

"It is time to get ready",her maids said,

She sighed a breath and said answered Okay and they immediately started with the preparations. The Queen entered her room And said, " Finally you are getting married...you'll be able to leave this family for good! Now enjoy your bloodsucker husband.

Eliana cried as she didn't want to marry a scary Breast like the duke but it was her father's order for her.

"I'm going to miss you Loris my best friend ", she said, I can't even imagine staying another minute outside the palace without you.

Loris said,I know your highness,I'll miss you too but always remember that i will always be there for you and remember you're doing this alliance for the sake of the royal family and also the country....Moreover, it might just be mere assumptions about the Duke of ARSENS, what if he is a good man?, she said, I love you so much and take care of yourself please "she cries out sorrowfully"

Eliana was dressed like a princess for the first time in her life ever since she entered the palace and she felt so unreal as she was looking strinkly gorgeous, while she was admiring her self...she heard a nok in the door by one of the guards that it was time for her wedding.

She sighed a long breath and left her room with fear and turmoil in her heart.

As Eliana stood at the altar, her eyes downcast, her body trembled with fear. The weight of her circumstances pressed upon her, making it hard to breathe. Her hands, once strong and steady, now shook uncontrollably.

Her gaze flickered to the crowd, searching for a familiar face, for someone who could save her from this nightmare. But all she saw were indifferent eyes, faces devoid of compassion. She felt utterly alone, trapped in a world that had turned against her.

Every fiber of her being screamed for escape, for freedom from the chains that bound her. She longed for someone to see her vulnerability, to understand the depth of her despair. But the room remained silent, the air heavy with unspoken expectations.

Tears welled up in her eyes, streaming down her face, betraying her inner turmoil. She wrapped her arms around herself, as if seeking solace in her own embrace. In that moment, vulnerability consumed her, leaving her exposed and defenseless.

THE DUKE HAVE ARRIVED!,The guards said,

As the man arrived at the wedding venue, a hush fell over the room. All eyes turned towards him, waiting for his reaction. He approached the girl emotionless , his footsteps echoing in the silence.

Their gazes met, and for a moment but she couldn't see his face as he was on mask...they were rumors that he had a long scar on his face. The girl's heart raced, her vulnerability laid bare before him. She searched his eyes, hoping to find a glimmer of understanding, a sign that he could see the turmoil within her....

He stood there looking emotionless like they were no touch of emotions in his eye.

As they stood side by side, ready to exchange their vows, their voices quivered with emotion. Each word spoken was infused with the rawness of their connection, the vulnerability they shared. They promised to support and cherish one another.

The priest pronounced the wedding done

I hereby pronounce the Duke of ARSENS and Princess Eliana husband and wife....you may now kiss your bride.

That moment...Eliana knew there was no going back.

The duke gently removed her veil and that was when he was finally able to see this brides face...he saw mixed emotions of sadness and betrayal in her eye.

He took her hands and kissed her gently,Eliana was shocked as it was her first kiss and thought he would had roughly taken it.

She bid farewell with everyone as she was supposed to get to the Duke's kingdom to pay homage to them.

It is time to leave"...he said,
