Chapter 137: Magic Duel 5

"Okay, I hear you, so let me get this straight, and correct me if I'm wrong here~" Zephyr Breeze spoke to the ponies in the library as he tried to understand.

"You guys don't like Trixie because she puts on an act during her magician show-" Zephyr began.

"She was incredibly boastful!" Applejack pointed out.

"She's an actress! It's part of her show! I know Trixie and so I know she's not nearly as mean as you all are trying to make her out to be!" Zephyr defended his bunk-mate. "Back on topic, you don't like Trixie because you can't understand the intricacies of show biz~"

"I mean... When you say it like that-" Rarity began to mumble.

"And then an Ursa Minor somehow got into the town, and you expected Trixie, who is an actress doing a show, may I remind you, to somehow deal with it." Zephyr raised an accusatory eyebrow at the group of girls, Dinky Doo tried mimicking his raising of a brow, only to raise both brows instead.

"...~~>..!" Pinkie Pie crossed her front legs and looked away, refusing to meet the Stallion's eyes.

"Which ended up with not only the Ursa destroying Trixie's home but also some sort of public humiliation for her as you all chased her out of town." Zephyr finished recounting.

"Now, we didn't actually chase her out, She sorta kinda left on her own." Applejack tried to defend the group.

"Now, I might be- Nope, I'm definitely biased 'cause Trixie and I are like Buffalo Cassidy and the Sundance Colt, we're tight like that, so I am inclined to defend her in this situation." Zephyr nodded to himself, Dinky nodding along.

"Also, Trixie doesn't seem rude at all!" Dinky Doo pointed out, "When she came over for Time Turner's birthday, she was like... Like a... I'll find a word for it soon~" She waved Zephyr Breeze to keep talking as she started mumbling to herself, trying to find the words to describe Trixie.

"Well, she's evil now. So it doesn't matter what she's normally like!" Rainbow Dash yelled in frustration at how the search for a way to stop Trixie ended up getting derailed.

"Now, Rainbow Dash, I understand being frustrated that I am hanging out with other mares, believe me, I see where you're coming from, but being jealous doesn't look good on you-" Zephyr stopped talking as a pillow got flung at his face.

"...Pinkie Pie?" Rainbow Dash growled as she turned to look at the mouthless pony.

"???" Pinkie Pie tilted her head to the side as she asked Rainbow Dash what she wanted.

"Where's the stash you keep here?" Rainbow Dash growled, and Pinkie Pie's eyes widened.

With supernatural speed that could only be attributed to her being Pinkie Pie, she climbed up to the top of the bookshelf and dug her leg behind a book, moving it around before her eyes widened as she pulled out a small wooden box that was hidden behind the books. Only to flail her legs around as she lost grip on the bookshelf, falling back down to the pile of books on the floor, the small mountain of reading material burying her beneath its paper maw, with only the hoof holding up the box being left outside the literary burial mound.

"Thank you." Rainbow Dash said simply as she grabbed the box from Pinkie's hoof and walked upstairs, leaving the group.

"...Was that a box of weed bro-" Zephyr once more got shut up as Fluttershy grabbed his lips and closed them, Her eyes twitching as she motioned to the filly in the room with her head.

"I really think like we're going nowhere..." Spike whispered to himself.

"You know what? Fine! I'll prove it!" Zephyr Breeze shouted as he pulled his sister's hooves off his face.

"Prove what?" Applejack asked.

"Prove that you're all wrong about Trixie!" He proclaimed before he started making his way towards the door, only to pause as he turned to the unicorn filly in the room, "Hey, Dinks, I'm going to have a talk with Trix, do you want to stay here or should I drop you off at Doc's place or- I don't know where your mom lives so..."

"What? No! I'm coming with you!" Dinky Doo quickly stood up and ran towards the stallion, her legs flailing about as she climbed the Pegasus before grabbing on to his back.

"Okay then," Zephyr turned to the group in the Library, "Bye Fluttershy, Tell Rainbow Dash to go easy on the brownies, this isn't Cloudsdale High anymore, she's not supposed to eat them." He then turned to the rest of the library, "Little Lizard," He nodded to Spike, "Pinkie Pie," He nodded to the pink Earth Pony, "Big Mac's sister," He nodded to Applejack, "The other one," He nodded to Rarity, before finally exiting the library and closing the door behind him.

"...Does he not remember ma` name?" Applejack questioned.

"Little Lizard? I'm not that small, am I?" Spike asked.

"THE OTHER ONE?!" Rarity shrieked in offense, "How DARE HE!"

Fluttershy merely noted to herself how glad she was that her brother seemed to be doing well.

"Okay! We need to tell Twilight about the Amulet on the staff!" Rainbow Dash suddenly shouted as she flew down the stairs.

"Do you have a plan?" Spike asked the Pegasus, only for the mare to flinch and grab at her head.

"Stop yelling so much!"

"Rainbow Dash, Dear, I don't want to sound rude, but how many of those brownies did you eat?" Rarity calmed her mind as she flushed Zephyr Breeze out of it before turning to her fast-flying friend.

"Wha- Are you judging my eating habits now... Wait a minute, I don't remember you dying your hair~" Rainbow Dash wanted to accuse only to stare at Rarity with half-lidded eyes.

"I didn't." Rarity said simply before she asked again, "How many of those weed brownies did you eat just now?"

"...Those were weed brownies?" Rainbow Dash asked as her legs started to wobble. "I just thought they were regular brownies..." She turned to the pony who gave them to her, "Pinkie Pie, what the fuck?" Her eyes widened in horror as a realization hit her.

"Don't worry," Fluttershy gently guided Rainbow Dash to a reclining chair in the library, "I haven't done this in years, but this is just like high school..." Fluttershy brushed the hair out of Rainbow Dash's face as she laid her down on the chair and made it recline backwards to she was sitting at an angle, somewhere between sitting and lying down on her back.

"I think I see the light..." Rainbow Dash said with horror as she gripped the armrest of the chair as if it was a roller coaster and she was afraid of being flung off, despite not moving.

"That's just a ceiling lamp. you'll be fine~" Fluttershy whispered to Rainbow Dash as she began to guide her through her trip.

"If only Zephyr remained here just a minute longer..." Fluttershy sighed to herself, "He's way better at this than I am."

-----------------------------------

"Pull you fools!" Trixie Lulamoon yelled as her staff glowed with red magic, a thin beam of magic connecting the staff to her horn as it levitated beside her, a whip cracking above her head as she glared at a pair of colts pulling a wooden chariot she conjured with her newly powerful magic.

"Trixie is not yet done making you regret how you ruined her life!" The whip cracked through the air once more, the two colts sweating as the chariot they were forced to pull dug into the ground thanks to its lack of wheels.

"Trixie!" All of a sudden, the chariot ground to a halt as all three ponies turned to watch a tall stallion trot forward.

"We need to have a talk." Zephyr Breeze locked eyes with Trixie Lulamoon.

And the filly on the stallion's back noted to herself that the following conversation could decide the fate of all of Ponyville.
