"Village Chief, they've left," a lean man in his forties reported in a low voice, head bowed, body tense to the old man puffing on his smoking pipe ahead of him.

"Did you see them leave with your own eyes? Right now, it's critical, and even a small mistake could cost you your life," the old man's voice was low and hoarse. As he questioned him, the man in front bowed even lower, as if he wished to rest his head on his waist.

"I watched them leave the village, they went back the way they came," anxiety flashed in the man's eyes as he quickly responded.

"Good, have the villagers keep a close watch these next few days," the old man pondered for a moment and then ordered.

"Yes."
