Most people probably wouldn't eat these.
But Xie Landi just eagerly watched Chiang Xiao.
Chiang Xiao walked over and said, "I'm quite picky with food, I'll just try one type."
Her candidness, devoid of disdain, relieved Xie Landi, who nodded and said, "Okay."
Chiang Xiao then picked one of the fruit preserves, which seemed to have a layer of white, possibly frosting. These snacks were probably decent offerings from Xie Landi.
She took a piece, put it in her mouth, and found it sweet and sour, actually quite tasty without any off-flavors of spoilage.
"Pretty good," she commented.
Xie Landi smiled and said, "Then eat, eat, let me clean up a bit."
Chiang Xiao took another piece and sat back on her bed, watching Xie Landi tidy up.
She couldn't remember why Xie Landi had committed suicide back then.
