Old Lady Xia's heart nearly burst with rage. Her nostrils flared as she breathed heavily, her small, green eyes glaring at Xia Hao with such venom, as if she wished she could flay and debone him.
"You, you little Wang..."
Just as she was about to blurt out "little bastard," Old Lady Xia suddenly clamped her mouth shut. Though uneducated, she understood certain principles—indeed, a "little bastard" is born from a "big bastard," which, by that logic, would make her the "old bastard."
Unable to voice her intended insult, her rage found no outlet and she felt stifled. Old Lady Xia stared at Xia Hao, clearly unwilling to admit defeat.
Behind Old Lady Xia, her daughter, Xia Laosan, was scheming as she hid.
"Oh my goodness! Don't get so angry you become ill! What would happen to all of us if something happened to you?!"
Xia Laosan burst out crying and dancing towards Old Lady Xia.
Old Lady Xia was initially startled, but then, figuring out her daughter's intention, responded.
