Face-to-Face Battle

With a resounding crash of shattering stone, spiderweb-like cracks appeared on the street, dust billowing up as a massive crater formed in the center. Superman, covered in dirt, quickly stood up before Amazo could descend upon him, gritting his teeth as he struck his opponent away.

The naked eye could barely keep up with Superman's movements, only glimpsing the red and blue blur as he clashed with Amazo. Each blow resulted in a deafening sonic boom, shattering nearby glass windows. The cacophony of screaming pedestrians, car alarms, and police helicopter rotors blended together, making the light paw sounds of the wolf barely audible.

The Batwing appeared on the horizon.

Standing amidst the ruins, Wonder Woman felt slightly relieved at the sight. She then let out an angry shout, hurling her Lasso of Truth to tightly bind Amazo. The robot's metal limbs were constricted by the lasso, but it roared and grabbed the lasso, hurling Wonder Woman away.

That was Clark's super strength.

Superman's blue suit was now tattered, and even the Man of Steel was breathing heavily in this intense battle. However, Amazo, who matched him in power due to his ability to copy powers, showed no signs of weakening.

Seeing Wonder Woman flung away, Superman immediately regrouped and punched Amazo, momentarily drawing its attention.

"Cyborg?" Batman said, "Amazo is a machine. Can we use a virus to take it down?"

Cyborg responded, "Not without getting close to it. But if I get close, I risk it copying my abilities."

Bruce felt a headache coming on. If he were to fight Amazo, there wouldn't be any "superpowers" for it to copy, making it only a matter of time before he could defeat it. However, Amazo had already fought Superman, Wonder Woman, and Martian Manhunter.

In terms of sheer power, it might now exceed any of them individually.

Superman wiped the blood from his cheek.

This was not a good sign.

The clouds shrouding Metropolis had not dispersed despite the intense battle. What had been a slightly overcast sky with light drizzle had now turned into dense, stormy clouds.

Baia could smell the fresh scent of ozone in the air before a storm, as rain and dust mixed into mud. The white wolf's damp fur rose and fell with its breathing. In the distance, Amazo was suddenly illuminated by a lightning flash, its hand now clasping Superman's throat.

All of this was reflected in Baia's eyes.

"Wolf, get closer!" Baia whispered.

Amazo was a robot, but it now showed a sinister smile. Its fist, imbued with Superman's stolen super strength, was about to strike Superman's chest, only to be surprised by the sight of Superman's wounds slowly healing again.

The eyes of the Kryptonian, who had seemed defeated moments ago, suddenly blazed with light, turning a blood-red from his heat vision. Superman reversed the grip on Amazo, blasting the robot's head at point-blank range with his scorching heat vision, the sound of melting metal hissing through the air.

Superman was thrown aside but caught himself mid-air with a sweep of his cape, regaining his earlier composure. Meanwhile, on the ground, Amazo clutched its face, roaring in anger.

"Robin." Batman's voice came through the earpiece, sounding alarmingly calm, "Help Martian Manhunter get to safety."

J'onn J'onzz, known as Martian Manhunter, a veteran member of the Justice League, had one fatal weakness—fire.

Amazo, with its newly acquired heat vision, had dealt significant damage to Martian Manhunter. Injured, J'onn was caught by Wonder Woman, who moved him to a relatively safe corner.

In a place out of sight of the Justice League, Batman took a deep, silent breath. Although he didn't think Baia was capable of participating in a battle of this scale, they did need her healing abilities right now, and it was too late to send her away.

On the battlefield, there were only warriors.

Wonder Woman hesitated, not knowing who Batman referred to as "Robin."

But an unfamiliar warmth started to flow through her veins, healing the wounds inflicted by Amazo. As a deity, she was highly sensitive to foreign energies. Even among gods, those with healing powers were rare.

But this energy adjusted her physical state, invigorating her.

This was a good thing. Diana returned to the fight with renewed vigor.

Following Batman's instructions, Baia quickly found the Martian Manhunter amidst the rubble. The green-skinned alien superhero was now unconscious.

[Frost Heart]: Envelops a friendly target in impenetrable ice, restoring 3% of their health per second for 10 seconds.

Without hesitation, she used the skill that would allow Martian Manhunter to recover the fastest. A large chunk of pale blue ice immediately wrapped around him, and Baia had a sudden idea.

"Can this 'impenetrable' be taken literally?" she asked.

System: Yes, it can.

At the same time, Baia heard Martian Manhunter's voice, "Thank you."

At this moment, R'Onn, still encased in ice, had regained consciousness, expressing his gratitude to Baia through a telepathic link.

The telepathic link of Martian Manhunter was back online, making the cooperation among Justice League members even tighter. Although the goddess had been seriously injured earlier, Baia only provided her with temporary assistance as she rushed to save Martian Manhunter.

The wolf panted heavily, sticking out its tongue.

Baia also felt that helping the members of the Justice League wasn't as easy as she had imagined. Even with the tactical view shared by Red Robin, she could only command Connor temporarily—having the white wolf take her around the ruins, avoiding the aftermath of the battle and trying to prevent Amazo from seeing her. But their movements were too fast.

One after another, they all possessed super speed.

Although Baia could use skills from a distance of one or two hundred meters, it would undoubtedly exacerbate her mental fatigue. Moreover, Superman often flew out of Baia's line of sight when engaging with enemies, leaving the goddess feeling helpless.

She felt truly powerless.

As a non-League member and a junior, she didn't dare to ask Earth's top combatants to wait for her. She could only rely on the white wolf to move around the ruins. The effect of the Golden Oriole, which allowed allies to recover their optimal state, could only be used once every two hours. And the wolf's stamina under intense movement couldn't support two hours.

Being a support was really difficult.

Before Diana's eyes was Amazo's fist, and it was too late to dodge. She closed her eyes, waiting for the blow to come.

But the expected sensation of being thrown aside didn't come. Instead, she faintly heard the sound of metal breaking.

"Diana!" Superman shouted anxiously, then noticed that Amazo's entire forearm was broken in an abnormal position, and a piece of ice enveloping the goddess had been pushed several centimeters.

The next second, the ice shattered.

The Amazonian warrior wasted no time in retaliating, delivering a powerful kick to Amazo's head with her muscular leg.

Meanwhile, Baia was feeling exhausted. Although the goddess occasionally needed her healing, Superman moved too quickly. Except for the initial exhaustion when she was being pulled by Amazo, she could only cast [Golden Oriole] once and couldn't reach anyone else most of the time.

It was unbelievable.

Moreover, [Frost Heart] consumed more mental energy than she had imagined. She hadn't felt this headache for a long time—both literally and figuratively.

The roar of engines approached, and the Batplane hovered above Baia.

"Get in," Batman opened the grappling hook and flew out, "The Batwing is in autopilot mode. Can you heal inside?"

"I can," Baia replied humbly, "But Superman is just too fast."

Batman pondered, "I'll tell them to approach the Batplane if they need healing. You're not a combatant, so stay away from the battlefield as much as possible. Let the wolf find the superkids."

"I understand," Baia nodded.

As she boarded the Batplane, Baia took off her wristwatch. Pressing a few buttons, an interface appeared.

Baia temporarily connected Friday to the Batwing's terminal.

Friday: "Miss Wayne, are we moving away from the battlefield?"

"Plan to assist Batman and the others to the fullest extent possible," Baia commanded.

"Understood, calibrating reconnaissance module—Oh, I'm so happy!" Friday exclaimed—accurately, it was the Batwing that exclaimed—then flipped in the air like a swallow in a near-showy manner, avoiding a beam of heat vision that flew past.

"What's going on?" Baia asked in the gap between singing the Song of the Angel.

"As an AI," Friday said, "My biggest dream is to be a pilot!"

Baia commented, "Well, you're quite strange."

Batman was testing whether Amazo would inherit the weaknesses of the superheroes when he caught sight of the Batwing's agile flight in the air, feeling his temples throbbing madly.

Under the guidance of the advisor, Amazo gradually began to fall behind.

The Amazo robot possessed extraordinary learning abilities. Although it didn't have high intelligence when it first escaped from the laboratory, it quickly grasped relevant calculations during the battle. It found that every time the combat effectiveness of the superheroes began to decline, they would regain their fighting spirit as long as they approached the Batplane.

"I will need that kind of ability very much," murmured Amazo.

Raising its hand, it dispersed the thick fog in front of Batman's □□, then swiftly flew towards the League's advisor.

A deafening collision resounded, and the shockwave spread out in a circular pattern, affecting everything within nearly half a kilometer.

Batman used his cape to block the splashing debris and rubble. When he looked up again, he heard a mocking voice.

"Do you need help, Dark Knight?"

Clad in golden-red armor, with leg thrusters emitting blue flames at several times their usual power, a semi-transparent energy barrier repelled Amazo's first attack but began to show signs of instability after that. It seemed that it still needed improvement.

This thing was originally developed by Tony to deal with Angel temporarily.

"Who's this now?" Diana asked.

"Me?" Tony opened his face mask and said, word by word, "I'm Iron Man."

The battle didn't pause because of the new member's arrival and the dialogue. Amazo didn't continue its attack because it was restrained by Superman.

The next moment, the blue behemoth that had been thrown away mid-air collided with Iron Man, who was hovering in the air. Iron Man blinked at Diana, being careless, not dodging, and the two flew backward together. The only thing left in place was Tony dragging out a curse word.

"More big boys around here," Diana shook her head.

Amazo flew into the air and quickly locked onto its target.

The agility of the Batwing surpassed its imagination. Friday and Amazo were simultaneously performing trajectory calculations millions of times per second. One wrong move, and it would result in the machine destroying lives.

But what Amazo wanted wasn't to immediately destroy this annoying little fly, just to see it.

Super speed.

The next moment, Amazo locked eyes with Baia through the Batwing's windscreen.

Baia: "Holy crap!!! You're not going to be copied by someone else, are you?"

System: Amazo's replication ability is almost unbeatable. Even Superman's abilities are difficult to escape from. It's one of the most dangerous abilities in this multiverse. If it falls into the wrong hands, it's simply unthinkable. If he replicates our abilities, then the consequences will be—"

Baia: "What are the consequences?!"

Amazo's body lit up with a dazzling golden light.
