Merlin stared into Baji's eyes, his voice seething with anger, "I once trusted you so much, yet you betrayed us!"
"You were all out of control then, I had to do it."
"Shut up! I don't want to hear your explanations!"
Even after tens of thousands of years, Merlin had not let go of the past grudges. He was angry and sensitive when dealing with Baji, but when he turned to face Marvin and the others, he again showed his gentleness and wisdom.
"You saved me, allowed me to escape the Mirror World, thank you."
"You're welcome."
"What has the outside world become?" Merlin was very curious, "Are humans still troubled by the attacks of supernatural beings? I once promised them to lead the tribe and create a homeland for mankind, I failed... but I hope their descendants can succeed."
"Are you speaking of the Golden Gods?"
"Yes, them. They passed on the knowledge of alchemy to mankind, didn't they?" Merlin said with a smile, "I think humans must be living a happy life with alchemy."
