Yang Yi sat on a bench near the entrance to the Louvre Museum, leisurely and comfortably watching the people coming and going on the street.
Two young Asian girls, chatting and laughing, came over. They were taking selfies and, upon seeing Yang Yi, whispered to each other before approaching him.
"Excuse me, are you from Huaxia?"
Yang Yi nodded and smiled, "Yes, I am. Are you here on vacation as well?"
"Yes, yes, we'd like to take a photo together. Could you help us take one?"
He stood up, took one of the girl's phones, snapped a few pictures for them, and as he handed back the phone, the other girl exclaimed loudly, "It's so nice to meet someone from Huaxia here. Can we add each other on WeChat, please?"
Yang Yi smiled and said, "Sorry, my girlfriend doesn't let me use WeChat."
After returning the phone, Yang Yi politely smiled and warned, "Watch out for pickpockets; there are a lot of them around here."
He waved his hand and took a few steps to the side.
