With nothing better to do, Yang Yi read through the flight manual again. He pored over it intermittently until he realized he had indeed memorized both manuals thoroughly and couldn't spot any errors, at which point he finally ended this tedious learning process.
By ten o'clock, Yang Yi had hit the sack early, determined to be well-rested for the exam the next day.
Yang Yi didn't know what time Mr. Hegelhaus would arrive, so after getting up early and having breakfast, he waited patiently until half-past eight before finally heading to Hegelhaus's office.
After knocking on the door, Yang Yi entered when he heard the invitation to come in.
Wearing a baseball cap adorned with an airplane pattern and holding a magazine, with his feet propped up on the desk, Hegelhaus's smile vanished as soon as he saw Yang Yi enter, his expression turning stern.
