Mona felt the issue was insignificant; loyalty was either absolute or not at all. She had already dedicated everything to her faith and was indifferent about retaining her sense of self.
There wasn't much of a difference anyway!
"Don't worry, you are clergy, a proper angelic evolution suits you best. If you have regrets, I can help you evolve later," Wayne said.
Mona nodded at his words. Seeing Wayne shake the bottle of Heavenly Blood to begin the procedure, she quickly raised her hand to stop him.
"What's wrong?"
"..."
Mona didn't speak but stood up and carefully folded the clothes she had taken off. These clothes had been bought when Wayne had taken her shopping, and they held a special meaning for her; she didn't want to ruin them during her evolution.
Wayne understood Mona's intentions. He patted her behind and, after she turned around, gave her a kiss. "Let's begin. If everything goes well, I will take you out for a candlelight dinner tonight."
