[Chapter Size: 2300 Words.]
Third Person POV
Hogwarts.
...
...
Snap didn't just stand by while hundreds of shadows advanced against the Acromantulas. He drew his own sword, choosing not to use magic, and set his wand aside, opting for hand-to-hand combat. After all, even though he wasn't being identified by his magical signature this time, he still didn't want to leave traces like before. Now, he could fight with his shadows guarding his back, relying less on shadow teleportation to escape from the many enemies surrounding him.
The Acromantulas were surprised and immediately began to roar, putting the entire nest on alert. The enemy was coming. There were at least two thousand of them there, and a hundred shadows wouldn't be enough to scare them off, so they prepared to attack the enemy as well.
A large group charged forward, roaring at the approaching shadows. Some were massive, like a colossus, a stone golem, and the Basilisk itself in its giant snake form.
All the shadows advanced without hesitation, but it was their commander who led the charge. Snap appeared before the first spider, slicing off its head before it even realized it was dead. The roaring ceased abruptly.
At his side, Snap moved with agility. He swung his sword forward, stabbing another spider in the head, embedding the blade between its eyes. Then, he prepared to strike a second one that leaped at him, cutting it in half and splitting it apart.
The third tried to catch him off guard, but suddenly, a monstrous mouth emerged and swallowed it whole, smashing the ground with force while the creature's teeth crunched it before spitting out the remains. Ouroboros slithered across the ground, using its tail to strike the surrounding spiders, scattering them away.
At that moment, his strongest and fastest shadows arrived. Igris charged forward, slashing through everything with his massive sword, gliding between the enemies and slicing them apart like paper. However, he was quickly surrounded, and Snap noticed Igris struggling against so many enemies with such a large weapon.
"Even Igris is having trouble with a big sword…" Snap murmured.
He realized that, with so many enemies, a large sword wasn't very useful. He glanced at his metal blade, pondering.
"This won't work here," he said to himself.
Without hesitation, he stored the sword in his inventory and pulled out two daggers he still kept there, though they were nothing like the material his sword was made of. Even so, they would be more effective in this type of battle.
With the smaller blades, he moved swiftly, striking everything around him without the burden of maneuvering a massive sword. The daggers immediately proved effective as he dashed through the enemies, cutting and reaping their lives while using his high speed—faster than anything else there, except for the ice elf.
The shadow soldiers reached the group just before Ouroboros crushed several spiders with an explosive attack, smashing them beneath its massive tail. This allowed some of the shadow creatures to gain an advantage over their enemies.
Meanwhile, the giant stone colossus stomped on spiders with its enormous feet, and other stone golems, though slow, easily shattered the creatures' bodies whenever they managed to land a punch.
Snap was also in the middle of the chaos, slightly away from where most of his shadows had begun fighting, battling alongside some of his soldiers. At his side, the ice elf advanced—perhaps even a bit stronger than Snape—using his speed to slice through enemies with precision. His spear gleamed in the air, effortlessly tearing through the creatures. Igris moved with them, forming a group that slaughtered dozens of spiders in mere seconds.
Snap smiled as he saw Fawkes, the Phoenix, soaring above, unleashing purple flames upon the spiders. The creatures screamed in agony as they were consumed by the fire. The coordination among the shadows was improving, and Snap was pleased with it.
This battle wouldn't end as long as those creatures continued to exist. After the attack on the student, they could no longer be allowed to roam freely.
Snap made his decision.
"We will destroy all the nests," he declared coldly. From the moment they attacked the students of the school, their fate was sealed.
More and more enemies kept appearing. The group had to keep advancing while the shadows began to fall on the battlefield—only to resurrect seconds later and continue slaughtering enemies.
The fight remained intense, but those who truly stood out were Ouroboros, Fawkes, the ice elf, Igris, the giant golem, and the three shadow mages, who quickly attacked the spiders from a distance with spells, devastating large numbers of them.
"Let's head to the nest!" Snape commanded as he continued cutting down the enemies around him. They pushed forward so deep into the enemy ranks that they reached the burrows where the spiders were constantly emerging.
Even surrounded, the creatures attacked in waves, trying to crush him. Snap began using some of the abilities he had gained over the past few months from the system, such as Dash, gaining an even greater burst of speed.
He used the abilities Stealth and Shadow Step, slipping past a group and reappearing behind them, killing them all with ease from behind.
He was smiling now, his body already covered in the creatures' blood. No matter how hard they tried to kill him—whether with their fangs, their movements, or their webs—he was dancing through them, reaping their lives, a grin forming on his face.
He was far more efficient than the first time he had slain a thousand of these spiders, when he had been forced to adopt hit-and-run tactics to fight against them. Now, he moved with ease, and nothing could stop him.
Compared to that time, Snape knew he had grown much stronger.
Swiftly, he sliced a spider in half while driving his dagger into the eyes of another, killing it instantly. Using the creature's body as leverage, he propelled himself forward, crossing the last front before the nest. As he began to fall into a hole leading inside, several spiders still tried to climb after him. But he slid down rapidly, cutting down any that got too close, leaving a trail of bodies behind.
Igris and the ice elf followed closely behind, determined to protect their king inside the nest. Ouroboros and the stone golem, however, couldn't fit through the narrow opening, while the Phoenix remained at the entrance, burning every spider that tried to escape.
"You leveled up!"
"You leveled up!"
"You leveled up!"
The system messages flashed before Snape as he rapidly gained more and more power. He continuously allocated his skill points, devastating the enemy nest with ferocity while growing stronger amidst the chaos and the creatures' agonized screams.
As he advanced, he entered an area covered in webs, landing on the head of a spider and stabbing his daggers into it. There were various objects trapped in the sticky threads—animals, and even human bodies, likely hunted and dragged there by the spiders.
His eyes locked onto one of them. It was the boy who had died.
But he wasn't alone. There were more people there, probably taken from different places after being captured by the spiders.
Snape ignored this detail for the moment. The important thing now was to finish the battle. At the very least, he would avenge those who had been killed. He then charged at the next spider.
Some time later, when the last spider inside the nest finally lay dead on the ground, Snape gave his next order.
"Take the boy's body and gather all the ingredients from this place."
He spoke as Igris brought the boy's corpse along with other humans. As they exited, his shadows moved in, collecting valuable items from within the nest and bringing them to Snape.
"There are still spiders that escaped from here. You must hunt them down," Snape told his soldiers.
"Leave none alive," he ordered, and his shadows responded immediately to his command.
Once all the objects Snape deemed valuable had been brought to him—items the spiders had taken, some rare and precious—he turned his attention to the Phoenix.
"Burn this entire place down!" he commanded.
The violet flames quickly spread through the nest, consuming everything in their path.
"Now, let's move on to another nest. Take me to the nearest one from here," Snape ordered.
He followed the shadow that had located the next target, leaving behind only a pile of flames consuming everything.
The centaurs guarding the area quickly went on high alert after hearing reports of a strange sound echoing through the forest. The Juggernaut was enraged for some reason, and that was deeply concerning... If that creature had been unleashed, they were all doomed. Even though they didn't yet know what could have caused this, they could feel that something was terribly wrong.
After being informed that no one was guarding the area anymore, two centaurs decided to investigate. As they approached, they spotted a glow in the distance.
"That… is fire!" one of them exclaimed.
"Let's see what's happening!" the other said, quickly advancing.
They immediately recalled the events of last year, when an entire nest of giant spiders had been massacred and burned to the ground. They hadn't imagined that something like that could be happening again… and so soon after the attack on the Hufflepuff student.
As they drew closer, they saw the Acromantulas in a desperate state, fleeing in all directions, taking them by surprise.
Before they could react, a figure wrapped in shadows appeared before them. Its body blended seamlessly with the darkness of the forest, making it nearly invisible, except for the bluish glow that stood out intensely.
In shock, they watched as the being drove its blade into a spider's head and pulled it back effortlessly, without hesitation. Then, it turned to face them for a brief moment, as if assessing them.
"What was that…?" one of the sentries whispered, stunned.
Before they could make a move, the figure vanished into the darkness.
They stood there, paralyzed for a moment, until they finally regained their senses. Now, they moved forward more cautiously, uncertain whether they would be attacked—whether by that thing or by something even worse.
More and more screams of dying spiders echoed through the forest. The sounds stopped as abruptly as they began, as if ghosts were sweeping through the area. Only the bodies of the creatures remained, scattered across the ground in a gruesome scene of carnage.

When they arrived at the site, they found a large number of bodies. The nest had been completely burned by strange flames—no one had ever seen violet fire before.
"This… again?" one of the centaurs murmured.
"It seems so…" another replied, as they observed the trail of destruction before them.
For a moment, they remained silent, stunned. But before they could react, a new glow emerged from another part of the forest. Soon, more flames began to rise, illuminating the night sky.
If they had been surprised before, now they were completely in shock.
Someone was exterminating all the spiders in the forest—right under their noses. And they had no idea who it could be, other than the strange shadowed creature they had glimpsed.
It didn't take long for a third blaze to appear. Then a fourth. A fifth.
Several areas of the forest were burning, and people from the outside—even those in Hogwarts Castle—could see the glow of the flames.
Frightened students peeked through the windows, wondering what was happening. Was it another advance from the murderous spiders that had attacked the Hufflepuff student? Or was it a move from the Dark Lord himself?
No… it was something entirely different.
Nearby villagers also began stepping out of their homes, shocked to see the Black Forest glowing with flames on the horizon.
