Chapter 191 - The Battle in the Muggle World 04.

[Chapter Size: 2000 Words.]

Third Person POV

That City.

...

...

"What?" the Minister for Magic murmured upon seeing what was happening in the city through the magical communication mirror.

"Listen, Madam Minister... there's a group of strange things walking through the city and killing—not just werewolves, but also Dark wizards and Death Eaters."

"What do you mean? I'm not understanding," she murmured.

"The same creatures. Creatures that attacked the Nott family and, clearly, the Norton family!" he said, while the minister grew even more surprised by the information.

"What's going on, Minister?" the British Prime Minister overheard part of the conversation and immediately wanted to know exactly what was happening, after the failed attempt to stop that thing approaching the city from the forest.

All they had been ordered to do, while wizards and military forces tried to stop it, was—whatever that thing was—it passed through everyone with ease and entered the city, without them being able to do anything else.

After that, they didn't know exactly what it was, nor what it was doing there, they only received warnings while helicopters continued to watch the city from afar.

"Something has been appearing frequently over the last year in the wizarding world... someone has been killing over a hundred wizards in various events," she began.

"What does that have to do with this? You're talking about a murderer? Is it that murderer who showed up there? Does he also work for your dark wizard?" the Prime Minister asked.

Having some information about it, but not much, while the wizards and the Ministry of Magic issued reports on the explosions in the middle of London, explaining exactly what had happened to the Muggle government and trying to calm the population—making up excuses like fires, exploding generators, and others—when the wizards simply couldn't erase the memory of Muggles who were further away from the magical events.

"This person doesn't work for the Dark Lord... You-Know-Who. Quite the opposite," she murmured, pressing her lips together, not knowing how to react to it.

After all, on one hand, he was a criminal and murderer, even considered a terrorist in the magical world after all the chaos he caused. But at the same time, he had only hunted dark wizards, not to mention that Dumbledore's disappearance was also a direct result of that mysterious wizard.

Despite being quite bloodthirsty and frightening to most people, he still somehow only hunted those related to You-Know-Who. And the report her men were passing along indicated that the same shadows reported in the attacks on the families were now hunting werewolves and dark witches, leaving the Aurors behind, since she had not received any report of casualties caused by these creatures.

"We even considered him a second Dark Lord... like You-Know-Who... due to the danger he presents. His powers have only now started to be revealed. Somehow, he has dark soldiers, events of family destruction, attacks on others... using these things along with strange magic and even attacks throughout the wizarding world. We don't know exactly what we're dealing with, but they are certainly enemies of each other..." she said, referring also to the recent extermination of the giant spiders in the Forbidden Forest after the Acromantulas attacked a student from a Muggle-born family.

Since, right after that, the Nott family was attacked, it was no surprise to associate them with the events in the Forbidden Forest—considering the shadow soldiers that the centaurs had seen along with the attack that exterminated the spiders that night.

"The Hogsmeade killer, the mysterious alchemist, and now these creatures serving someone... all these identities were one and the same, becoming something dangerous in the wizarding world. No one knew where this person came from or their origin. He simply appeared since last year, in the Hogsmeade attack, in the middle of the year, and has been carrying out actions from time to time. Clearly, he should be considered someone dangerous." She commented on what she knew through the ministry's intelligence.

"Are you saying there's a second Dark Order in your magical world?" the British Prime Minister raised an eyebrow.

"If one was already causing trouble, imagine two."

"Not all the events that have happened over the past year were caused only by You-Know-Who, but also by this other 'Dark Lord', with dark creatures, as my Aurors are reporting," she murmured, brushing the minister aside and turning her attention back to the mirror.

"Listen, don't attack those things if they're not threatening your lives or the Muggles'," she said after hearing the reports of the massacre taking place.

"Yeah, I don't want to face those things. They're simply exterminating all the dark wizards. Besides that, there's a giant snake—like an ancient basilisk. It's immune to magic! We saw it massacre an entire group of dark witches. After killing a shadow bear, it just... it's even immune to Avada Kedavra," she heard another man saying through the mirror.

"What do you know about these creatures? I want you to pay attention to everything about them," the minister requested.

"Yeah... there's something else happening here. The creatures... they can regenerate even after an Avada Kedavra. They seem invincible," he said, while the minister furrowed her brow.

Meanwhile, the city was still in chaos, being shown on the television in the Prime Minister's office, while helicopters still had some view of the area, with some explosions going off.

The screams started spreading even more through her audio feed, but now they sounded a bit different. Suddenly, streaks of flame began flying through the sky, moving out of the city, as the British Minister raised an eyebrow at it.

"What is that?" he murmured, as the minister frowned at seeing new explosions erupting in the distance, with some brooms being consumed by the flames.

"That's the same kind of magic that hit the Nott family home," she murmured.

They both paid even more attention to the TV, to see what else would emerge in the middle of that chaotic city.

At the same time, a black smoke was flying through the city, before a broom started chasing it, firing spells directly at it. The smoke quickly dodged and dove to the ground, while the person on the broom also transformed into a white smoke, descending.

The two landed in the middle of the deserted street with signs of destruction and faced each other.

"I'm in the middle of a task. Are you really going to get in my way, Weasley?" the Death Eater said from behind his mask, directly to the young red-haired Auror.

"I know it's you, Abraxas. I'd recognize you anywhere," the young man said angrily, knowing exactly who that Death Eater was.

He had been responsible for the ousting of the former Muggle-born Minister for Magic, before the current minister took office — and he was a staunch believer in pure-blood ideology.

Moreover, Arthur Weasley had often been mocked, along with his father, by Abraxas Malfoy whenever they crossed paths at the Ministry or outside of it. Obviously, Arthur knew very well how he carried himself, his build, and even his movements. So, a mask and a cloak hiding his face and hair wouldn't fool him.

Besides, he was openly in favor of Voldemort, but due to his political power and his family, they had never been able to do anything against him without real proof. Perhaps this was the moment, as he watched the man remove his mask.

"Arthur... So perceptive, Arthur. Sometimes I wonder if you're really a Weasley, since your father is such a failure," he said.

"Don't you dare say anything about my father, Abraxas! You're under arrest!" he replied immediately.

Then without warning, he was hit by a spell from Abraxas's wand, quickly using a shield to defend against the flames of the spell.

As soon as he defended himself, Arthur began to attack, and the two started dueling right there in the middle of the street.

"You really annoy me, Weasley! I'm going to kill you here and deliver your body to your father!"

Abraxas was in the middle of a task for Voldemort, and even Arthur's intervention there deeply irritated him.

Quickly, he began resorting to Avada Kedavra, with Arthur trying to dodge, transforming into white smoke as he flew. The green bolt passed through him before he reappeared on top of a house and began attacking with several spells.

But Abraxas was very experienced, with many wizards already fallen under his wand. It was no wonder he was one of the leading Death Eaters.

The battle continued over time, until Arthur lost sight of him, before feeling an attack on his back, sending him flying from the house directly to the ground. The impact broke his arm, and he dropped his wand in the middle of the street.

With a loud crack, Abraxas appeared in front of him.

"Goodbye," Abraxas said. He didn't care much, was just about to point his wand, when the house they were on suddenly exploded, catching him by surprise.

He looked as he saw a black creature emerging from the rubble and advancing.

"Avada Kedavra!" he immediately cast in a quick motion.

The creature was struck, however, the spell had no effect on it, as it continued to advance. It caught him by surprise, as it was a black basilisk.

He tried to attack again, but in the next moment had to apparate urgently as the creature's mouth opened.

Even Arthur, stunned on the ground, was frightened by the creature slithering over him, while Abraxas appeared on the other side of the street.

"What is that thing?" he murmured, as the basilisk ignored Arthur and slithered through the street, before raising its head toward him and roaring.

Seeing that giant snake, it even reminded him of the Dark Lord, but he knew: it clearly wasn't an ally.

With no choice, he began casting spells rapidly at the snake, but the effects simply had no result. They didn't even manifest upon touching the creature's skin, as if they were nullified.

The creature quickly advanced, and Abraxas appeared on another house nearby, landing on the roof, watching the creature breaking the ground, pulling its mouth from the destroyed earth with monstrous strength.

Certainly, that made him worried. And perhaps because of that, he didn't even notice someone behind him—until he felt a sharp sting in his back and, next, the tip of a blade piercing through his left chest.

He looked, stunned, feeling the immense pain strike him, as his strength began to fade with his heart destroyed.

"What... is this?" he began coughing blood, as he looked to the side and saw someone standing nearby.

"Abraxas Malfoy... I even spared your son before coming here. But you, certainly, I will not," Snape said, not hiding his voice.

Extremely young, Abraxas widened his eyes, stunned as he recognized him.

"You..."

That was all he murmured, but it was enough for him to completely lose all strength in his body.

In the next moment, the blade was removed, with a hemorrhage bursting from the hole in his back, as his body began to collapse, rolling off the roof before falling directly to the ground.

He hit the ground like a ragdoll... dead.

The snake was still in the middle of the street, while Arthur watched it stunned, lying on the ground unable to get up.

The person teleported to the middle of the street, giving Arthur Weasley one last look. Storing his blade in his inventory, he began walking toward the building where Voldemort was, a few hundred meters away.

Meanwhile, the snake simply dropped to the ground and slithered like a shadow, entering directly into the shadow of that hooded man.

Arthur remained there, alone, just watching the last glimpse of the man disappear down the street, until new shadows began walking through the area, ignoring him, and Arthur could see the forms of all kinds of monsters.

They advanced forward, marching to reach their king, as the battle between Snape and Voldemort was about to begin.
