Their body shape somewhat resembled wasps, with long abdomens and pointy tails.
However, their wings were nearly invisible.
In fact, their wings were those short and thick elytra that looked more like two pieces of armor. When they needed to fly, the contracted wings would quickly extend from beneath the elytra and then unfold.
One characteristic of these beetles was that their larvae were wingless, only the adults would have the wings necessary for flight.
This aspect was quite similar to ducks.
Ducklings had fluffy feathers, rendering them incapable of flight when they were young.
Qin Niu found that these beetles were mostly Grade Two insects, with only a few reaching Grade Three. They lacked Poison Stingers, meaning they couldn't sting like wasps do.
Ordinary beetles of this kind didn't have poison glands.
The abdomens of these beetles had clearly evolved to have poison glands.
Qin Niu was very curious about their method of attack.
