"Um... do you have any Wolfkin or Catkin for sale, perhaps? If not Wolfkin, then Dogkin are fine as well."

Morani nodded and smirked at me as she replied "Course I do Miss Hildegarde! Most common Demi Humans to be sold! Loyal and friendly to a damn fault, all three of those races! I have my own group of Wolfkin keeping me and my goods safe! Agile and strong, they make perfect guards and excellent partners for Hunting! Got lots of young Wolfkin too; how's 25 sound for a red Wolfkin? Too high of a price? I can do 17 on a brown Wolfkin."

Of my 300 gold, 100 of it had already been spent, and I still needed some tools, a weapon, some armor and some other things, but... I needed a guard and a partner, that's for sure, and Wolfkin were really reliable partners...

And it wouldn't be splurging; it would be investing into my future!

To make money you have to spend money, so I nodded and forked over another 25 gold as I said "I'll take the red Wolfkin! Larger and stronger than the rest of their kin, right?"

"Right you are~! About six foot something and laden with muscle, Crima is a stud of a Wolfkin! Since I like ya so much, Miss Hildegarde, and I hope to keep doing business with ya, I'll entrust her to you for this here 25 gold! She's waiting with my other Wolfkin on the Airstrip, so... ah! Here we are!"

Pulling out a thin whistle that had a small crystal studded onto one end, Morina blew into it and made the crystal glow, her mana flowing into the instrument as she called for her Wolfkin, who likely had a collar that was tuned with this same crystal and mana frequency.

"They'll be here in a moment. Go get some tools, I'll call for ya when she gets here. Oh, and obviously she knows about the possibility of being sold; just in case you were wondering, she actually demanded I look for someone to buy her! Wants to stretch her legs and start building her own pack, I guess. Dominant thing, Crima..."

Winking at me, Morina just snickered as I blushed and walked away, all four eggs and my two crystals in my arms, which was definitely getting a tad heavy now, but since I was going from one table to another, it wasn't that bad.

Tool wise, I just wanted to make sure that I had the things I needed and that they felt good in my hands; shears, spades, shovels, axe, pickaxe, hoe and more, and looking at each at this new stall, I felt comfortable with them and thought they were well worth the 25 gold I managed to get them for.

150 gold remained inside my pouch, so I took my business to the table beside the tool shed and began to look at some of the seeds, deciding that I wanted some personal comfort things to grow, like Solberries and Chocolate Vines, things that I could make into sweets and other treats to reward myself properly for a long day of work.

Things that also wouldn't need more than a couple of pots or small plots of soil to grow from, as well as things that didn't need a lot of trimming or attention but also things that had high yields; it sounds like a large ask, but surprisingly many herbs were relatively self sufficient and quite lucrative, especially if you know how to keep them alive and flourishing inside a greenhouse.

That lost me another 10 gold, the various bundles of seeds joining the bundle of tools that were being shipped to the Airship I was going to take to my Ranch, alongside the four eggs and two crystals; they had been taken away by Regina, the pink Catkin rushing off and rushing back in a mere minute as she refused to leave me by Lady Von Goldiue's side for too long, which...

"You're rather adorable, Miss Serani. So serious and well versed in all things about a Ranch, adept at negotiations, but also so innocent and quick to blush when someone makes a pass at you~! It's cute~! That merchant back there was offering to give those scarves and gloves to you for free if you made use of that 'hammer' of yours and nailed her quickly~!"

My cheeks reddened as Lady Von Goldiue grinned at me, the blonde still following me around quietly as I purchased what I needed, not speaking much... but when she did...

"Honestly, I am beginning to pray that Regina is pregnant. Her serious and straightforwards attitude with work paired with yours would make an interesting kitten, and if you manage to combine both of your lower halves together... mm~!"

I kept quiet as I focused on the weapons in front of me, though when the muscular, pale skinned woman in front of me snickered and asked "Is the little Missy sporting an impressive hammer down there, my Lady~? Interesting~! Woulda thought she was entirely a woman with those curves..."

The two chuckled together at my expense as they ogled my body, and I blushed again as I shuffled around, only to pause as I realized that made the blacksmith's smile turn lusty as she stared at my cleavage, while the gaze of the Government Official behind me was almost searing my butt...

"Master! I finished! Why's the pipsqueak quiet?"

Regina returned at the right time, pulling their attention away and letting me breathe out a sigh of relief as I resumed my appraisal of the weapons, looking for one that would suit me well and was at a good price, something that was quick for me as I defaulted onto the thing I was the best with.

A bow.

Ranged and requiring strong back and shoulder muscles, it was a underutilized weapon despite our titles being 'Hunters', and when paired with the various types of arrows you could find, it was an incredible weapon for all sorts of monsters.

As for up close battles, I was going to just go with my other preferred weapon, which I would make for myself when I got to the Ranch, which was a club; simple, easy to use, and another underutilized weapon type.

All in all, I spent 285 gold on a bunch of different things; weapons, tools, seeds, clothes, blankets, essentials, some rations just in case, raw magic crystals and so much more...

By the end of it, I returned to Morani and got to see one of the other things I had purchased; the tall, serious and almost feral looking red haired Wolfkin woman named Crima.
