Chapter Forty-Eight

Jin was frustrated and was getting more confused as each second passed by. Nes remembered nothing. She did not remember that she had a miscarriage, she did not remember how she mentioned something from her past life and almost lost her mind.

Now, she spent most of her time holed up in Seth's room. Jin could not even force his way into that room. He did not want to antagonize Seth too much lest Seth might imprison Jin in his room. At least, it was certain that he was not hurting Nes. Perhaps the pregnancy was an accident after all.

But was it?

Jin decided to believe in the lie even when he knew it was a lie since believing in the truth would not matter at that moment. He was not strong enough to go against Seth. Neither was Nes. More than that, Nes was, at this moment, a burden. She was losing her ability to think rationally. She was losing her memory. Rather than being helped by her, she needed to be helped the most at the moment.
