Chapter Fifty-One

Daisy beamed at Theo. For some reason, Theo found her unsettling. The way she talked, the way she smiled, even the way she breathed.

Angels needed to breathe, Daisy said. Theo found it odd since angels did not need to do a lot of things. Then, why breathing?

"Not all angels. The greater angels can go without breathing," Daisy had told him. "Seth could do that."

Nes's husband in her previous life. A fallen angel. Part-demon.

At this moment, he was right in front of him.

Seth was huge. He had one red eye. The other one was covered with an eye patch. Everything about him was majestic and terrifying. The moment Theo saw him, he felt a cold rush inside his body.

Daisy did not seem to mind him. When Theo was planning to leave the Base, Daisy appeared out of nowhere and said she could take Theo to Nes. Honestly, Theo was not sure what he wanted, but at least, he was certain that he wanted to ensure Nes was safe.
