Repeat Kidnapper

Kayn launched into the air, letting his Shadow's Embrace spell fall off as he left the ground. He flew in a small loop and launched himself directly at the wriggling wall of the monolith floor he needed to breach. In his hand he gathered a ball of lightning, powerful enough to blow away even the dense and durable undead that made up the wall, and launched it a few seconds before he impacted.

Flying through the flesh and bone, he entered through the hole he made at high speeds. He quickly came face to face with the lich who became startled that someone had actually broken through that easily and without him being warned someone was that close until it was too late.

Instead of the spear wielding woman who had already killed him a few times, he found a figure garbed in black with an oddly off-putting black veil over their face. The lich was caught unprepared for combat as he was buck naked aside from some defensive accessories.

Kayn didn't even try to fight the lich, only hitting him with enough power to send him flying for a few meters as he created a thick fog between himself and where he sent the lich. He worked quickly, destroying the chains tying the girl down.

She was so scared that the rutty mattress she was laying on was now stained yellow, but she kept her mouth closed when the intruder released her shackles.

She was scared of dying, and she wasn't sure what this intruder wanted with her, but anything was better than suffering the fate she would have had if the lich kept her. She only closed her eyes and let fate take over. Whether she was actually being rescued or just being taken to be slave to another, as long as she wasn't a tool used for breeding before she became an undead herself, she didn't care.

Kayn swiftly lifted her off the bed and threw her over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes in order to keep one of his hands free as he infused his body with the elements and propelled himself with the girl through the hole he had previously created at top speed. The hole was already beginning to patch itself, so he had to expand it with yet another and even more powerful lightning bolt, once again being coated in rotted flesh and black viscous blood.

Unfortunately, he was surrounded by flying type undead as he exited the hole. None of them were strong enough to individually cause him issues, but he was now trapped on all sides by thousands of undead.

Tens of thousands of expendable undead, all within around a C to B-class strength now stood between himself and escape. He couldn't even fight freely right now as he had baggage. He didn't think for long because he sensed the lich right behind him and he couldn't use the teleportation of the Garment's vambracers since they wouldn't transport the girl with him.

Gritting his teeth, he decided to use one of his trump cards and risk the massive mana expenditure. Thinking about a massive beam originating from his hand much like a certain wave beam from an anime of his childhood, he fused void and light together to purge the undead before him.

"Light of Purgation!" Kayn shouted as he shoved his hand forward, a beam blasting out before him with a small diameter of only 1.5 meters, but it was enough for Kayn to continuously use the spell in front of him as he flew out behind it.

It had been less than a minute or two since Kayn had started his rescue mission, but the tide of undead before him seemed endless. Even after 30 seconds of pure annihilation as he flew forward, he wasn't out of the encirclement. The undead not hit by the beam didn't seem to be bothered by the death of their brethren nor the beam that would remove them from existence.

Kayn would usually just take the hits and heal them later, but as he had another individual slung over his shoulder who wouldn't survive even a single attack from one of the undead, he had to simultaneously create a barrier around him and his passenger to prevent any attacks flying their way.

Due to the inherent mana cost of the Purging Light element and defending from over a hundred thousand attacks within a short amount of time, Kayn began to worry if he would have enough mana. This was the second time he thought something like this within the last day and it made him quite unhappy.

Despite the quality, efficiency, and having more than five times the mana a normal 4th stager would have, he felt lacking. It was easy to fight thousands when he was alone as his movements allowed for him to dodge or block with minimum effort, but it was different when he was surrounded by his enemies with little space in between them and their attacks coming in like suicidal bombardments.

How this damn lich had so many flying undead within his army could only be attributed to the fact that he was personally making them to suit his needs. Kayn was growing more frustrated by the second, but it wasn't like he was going to run out of mana in the next few minutes, only if this kept up for at least 15 or more minutes would he be in danger.

He was spending mana so fast that it was as if he was spraying a fire hose full of water at a burning building only for it to evaporate before it actually made contact with the fire.

Taking a deep breath, he started circulating the Void Star technique to the best of his ability, hoping to take in more mana than he did naturally. It was difficult to properly feel the rotation of the black hole within his Demonic Dragon Heart while he was busy with the upkeep of the two mana intensive spells that he was channeling.

If all else fails, he would have to abandon the girl and save himself, but he wasn't that desperate yet. He continued to force his way through the blockade for another 10 minutes before he finally saw the sun shining through the crowd of undead. He made a final push with his Light of Purgation spell, freeing himself from the encirclement before he increased his flight speed and stopped channeling the Purging Light elemental spell.

As soon as he was out of range of the flying undead that were attacking him with their claws and weapons, he stopped channeling the barrier spell and focused on dodging the spells and arrows that were shot his way as he gradually increased his flying speed. The girl puked all over his backside and towards the ground as the barrier stopped shielding her from external forces and she soon fell unconscious due to the g-force and speed at which Kayn was now moving.

In a final burst, Kayn used his mastery of the wind element and escaped the area just as the lich was catching up to him. The lich was angry that someone had intruded his territory, stolen one of his incubators, and killed thousands of his undead, but in the end it didn't matter much. He could just create more undead, but the intrusion also told him that he needed to increase his defenses more and increase the durability of his monolith stronghold.

Kayn knew where he wanted to take this young woman, but in the case that he was somehow being tracked, he didn't want to risk going there right away. He dove into the earth, entering a cavern system that he knew quite well as he had just been there.

He quickly drew up a few small concealment arrays as he patiently waited with all of his senses active, trying to detect if he had a tail that he didn't manage to lose. After 15 minutes of waiting, he pulled out the Wanderer's Villa and stepped inside.

Once hidden away within the Villa, he laid the young woman down on a spare bed after wiping the tears, snot, and vomit off of her face. She was completely naked when he rescued her, so he left a change of clothes and a towel with instructions that she could wash up in the bathroom before coming out.

After checking her health to ensure that she had only passed out due to the impromptu roller coaster he took her on, he left the room and went to the control room as he wanted to adjust some of the active and inactive formations.

When he was finished with that chore, he entered his own bedroom to help along the self-cleaning process of the Garments as well as shower himself.

With everything finished, he entered the mana gathering room which was once again activated. Immediately he could feel the difference in the mana density around him. Taking in a deep breath as he sat on the cushion in the middle of the room, he began to replenish his reserves.

Around a day went by as Kayn finished restoring his mana and performed various chores around the Villa. As the Villa was one with his soul, he had an innate understanding of what his guests were doing, and he knew that the young woman was awake and finished bathing herself.

She seemed skeptical of the situation at first and even hesitated moving around the room and into the bathing area, but once she felt the warm water over her skin, she seemed to relax just fine. Kayn wasn't peaking on her like some pervert by any means, he could just feel her emotions through his connection with the Villa.

In order to entice her out of the room though, he started to let the scent of the food he was cooking waft throughout the Villa's living quarters. Sure enough, a young, slightly malnourished woman took hesitant and nervous steps towards where the scent was coming from.

What she saw when she entered the kitchen area stopped her in her tracks as nothing made sense to her. One minute she was desperately resisting and begging for death in confines of the lich's lair, the next she was bathing in warm water with soap and even had a pristine and clean outfit waiting for her. And now, she was entering a kitchen with delicious smelling food being prepared by a man with snow-white hair wearing very casual clothing.

She couldn't see the face of her savior yet as he was turned away from her, but he had a lean and muscular physique from what she could tell even with his loose clothing. Not even a few seconds into her staring at him, he turned around with a charming smile adorning his overly handsome face.

"It's been over a decade since I last saw you, you've grown up quite well little Britta."

The young woman named Britta, stood there in silence as she had no clue how this stranger would know her name. Then it hit her, when she was still back at the orphanage, there was a man with white hair who would visit sometimes and play with the children there, giving them toys and treats and often bringing his own daughter to play.

She remembered one of the teachers there talking about him with dreamy eyes. She had said something about how nice it would be to become his wife, or even a concubine as he was so kind and handsome, not to mention he was supposedly filthy rich. In other words, he was a sponsor for some of the orphans there, her included.

With wide eyes and an expression laced with recognition she opened her mouth. "Mister Ashan?"
