Goblin's Nest

The building at the city's center was officially called the Angel's Emporium. It was by far the most wealthy company in the large city. But others knew it by a different name:

The Goblin's Nest.

...

Out in front of the building that reached the clouds, a man with a pistol in one hand and a knife in the other. Both weapons looked like they were worth a fortune and double that together.

His face was somewhat obscured by a mask that barely reached above his nose. But even with a mouse that covered it, his smile was evident.

From the single clip remaining, the surplus of guards recognized him.

"The ghost!"

"The ghost is here!"

"Tell the boss!"

They started frantically shouting amongst themselves, trying to have others do what they were placed there for. Naos looked at this hectic scene, unmoving.

After a few seconds, he charged into the chaos headfirst as he turned into a whirlwind of blood and guts.

The guards, already apprehensive to attack this guy, were even more mortified as tens of them died by the second. All he used was a single knife only 10 inches long. But that ten-inch blade was dyed red quickly.

The crimson blade slashed and slashed, looking devoid of thought, but at the same time, with mortifying intelligence. Naos chopped up people cleanly as if it were an art form.

...

Half a mile behind him, Will sat with his binoculars, observing the situation while drenched in sweat. Without a doubt, he had chosen the right ally.

...

Naos's momentum was halted by a rain of bullets originating from right in front of the door. Taking hits to his eye, chest, leg, and more, he sighed. Looks like things won't be as easy from here on out.

He switched his focus from the adult men running away with faces full of tears and snot to the other adult men with deadly expressions. Naos had no cover nearby, so he was relentlessly assaulted by ammunition without being able to do anything.

When an idea popped into his head, he immediately acted. Diving into a pile of mutilated corpses, Naos no longer heard the bullets. This gave him time to regenerate his damaged muscles and tendons.

Getting into a sniper stance and pulling out Nova with one hand, he aimed down its sights and slowly nudged the barrel out of the pile. Being drenched in blood, it was unnoticed as he took his first shot.

With a loud bang, the confident gunners scattered like scared mice. Naos took 5 more shots before putting Nova away and took the gap to attack again. Breaking the crumbling formation, he continued his slaughter.

After killing all of them, Naos looked at the peak of the building in front of him. His gaze nearly pierced the window on the top floor that was a quarter of a mile upwards.

His focus was interrupted when he spotted something falling from that height.

As it drew nearer and nearer, Naos saw what it was. It was a human body.

It accelerated more and more until the earth caught it, leaving nothing but a few features and a red mist. Naos inspected further and noticed something.

It was Grant!

From the wound in the head, he had been shot before being pushed off of the highest point in the tower.

Naos moved away from the partial corpse and entered the building. Those too scared to fight him outside were waiting for him on the inside.

Naos ran at them, ignoring the consequences of being filled with lead. Relentlessly continuing his charge, he breached the line and resumed his massacre.

He made quick work of them and found his way to the staircase.

The stairs were daunting, seemingly leading up and up forever with no end in sight. Regardless, Naos pressed on. He ran up the stairs at the greatest speed he could manage, climbing floor by floor.

Now and then, he would encounter another goon who would challenge him with fear in their eyes. It seemed like their boss was forcing them to do something that they didn't want to do:

Fight someone who had killed hundreds or maybe even thousands of men singlehandedly.

But it seemed that these had high-caliber artillery. The closer he got to the top of the skyscraper, the stronger the weapons became. At one point, a guy with an RPG was standing in Naos's way.

The rocket was fired, but Naos easily sidestepped to get out of the way. The fool had not aimed at the ground to all but guarantee the hit, but he had attempted to aim at the person himself.

The rocket flew out of a window and exploded harmlessly mid-air. Naos ran at the guy who had an empty bazooka and grabbed him by the hem of his shirt.

Twisting his hips, he used the momentum to defenestrate the man before continuing as if nothing had happened.

After a little while, Naos reached the top of the Goblin's Nest to the true nest. In the room that he had spent so much time trying to reach, Naos saw a scared man, looking at him with absolute terror.

"Are you the boss here?" Naos asked coldly, his eyes filled with disappointment.

"Y-yes," The man tried to speak, "and who are y-" He was cut off by Naos throwing his knife. Surprisingly, the man moved his head away at the last second, watching the knife fly by.

"What the hell?" He shouted, nearly stumbling on his butt. Naos walked towards him.

"Look, I'm here to eliminate you." Naos's words were like stones on the man's chest, making it difficult for him to breathe properly. Naos brought his arm back and swung with all his might, intending for the man's head to pop like a balloon.

Again, the man barely dodged the lethal blow. Naos suspected that such a fool like him must have a superpower as well if he could barely escape his attacks.

Naos punched and punched, but the man managed to dodge each one. That was until Naos attacked too fast for the man to react properly, and he was forced to attempt to mitigate the force.

The man raised his arms to block as if it were a boxing match, but both were shattered under pure power. After all, this man's body was that of a regular person.

Naos's power was that of the peak of the human body.
