Into the Black

United Nations Interplanetary Command scientists have discovered that Earth will become uninhabitable in 2401. In early 2399, a fleet with experimental technology was assembled to locate an immediately habitable planet.



However, the fleet is almost immediately engaged by alien forces. Now facing opposition from a superior foe, the fleet must find a way to defeat the enemy and complete the mission.



This story follows three characters:

Alpha Nine, a Drengr Super soldier, who's past is so classified that he uses a pseudonym instead of his real name.



Mark Helms, another, older Drengr super soldier. He's a legend, even amongst his peers, and probably the most decorated soldier in history.



Tacitus Killgore, the captain of the USS Amber Clad, one of the fleet's destroyers. He is an experienced Commander in the United States Space Force.
