Prologue

Earth in the year 2024 was not a good one. 

For one, a good chunk of the population had been wiped out. The continent of Australia ruined and made a stronghold for demons and monsters, and their overlord, The Demon King, Aragoth. The humans that were killed on the land of the demons or in demonic sanctums were remaid into wraiths, and golems. 

To understand this, one would need to understand what happened in the year 2015, when a cell of scientists who specialized in the field of space and astronautical sciences had been researching into harvesting energies from outer space, and soon other dimensions, these scientists were given great prestige and renown, for giving humanity a new sustainable, limitless source of energy. 

Civilization prospered, and humanity was its peak and at peace.

In the year 2017, a dimensional tear happened in Antarctica. This one had opened on its own, unlike the ones the researchers built. When this rift opened, the people of a nearby research team had been hit by a wave of energy from the rift, from the crew of a hundred only ten lived.

These ten had awakened an ability each that was only possible due to the rift that had appeared. Soon more rifts came, more awakened, and unlike the first one these did not kill, only a handful of people were left in a state of irreversible sleep. The rifts first opened and gave powers. Soon, they gave items such as weapons, armors, materials and mana crystals. All of which were highly valuable. Mana crystals especially as they boosted an awakeners powers to newer levels. Though only a few people have ever crossed the highest threshold that was set, The Masters.

All of those who had a title of Master was a being of unnatural strength and skill even by the standards of awakeners. These beings were listed up in the top one percent of humanity. 

But this story is about one person.

Not one with a tragic story or revengeful past. No, this story is his who dedicated his life and strength to reaching the peak of humanity, he who was called The Weakest Awakener of Humanity, Hadrian Anderson, the last of the noble line of Asgard.
