Special Chapter (Germanification EP 1)
[ GERMANIFICATION ]
A paper written by Betelionic University Professor, Gerstad Bunns.
I preface this paper by first stating these following facts;
1. That this is the first publication in the Betelionic Empire's written history to be made using the German invention of the typewriter.
2. This paper and subsequent interviews were written before the great war.
3. And that finally; this paper is to showcase the effect of Germanification, under the factual information gotten under my time in Germany and Hesia.
The year of the lord; 1181 Maye 1st
One month before the start of the great war. I was brought on by recommendation from the newly stated; Betelionic University (in cooperation with the UG) to venture out and publish a paper regarding the newly-found and experienced effect of Germanification. The aforementioned effect has been witnessed throughout the Latessian continent, especially in the German Alliance.

My attendant escorted me out of my manor, I had expected for our own (rather expensive) Betelionic-Type A vehicle. One that is meant for professional travel with it having less room for general-purpose, and more for one or two passenger comfort (it looked like the German MV Beetle).
But rather, before me; was the most opulent and sleek vehicle I have ever seen. The surface was silky smooth, reflecting the blue sky like were it a clouded mirror. A streek ran across it (a design I couldn't help but ogle).
A man, decked in clean military uniform exited from the driver seat.
I bowed as did he.
"Good Afternoon; Sir Gerstad Bunns. Special Unit of the Right Hand directly under the Chancellor; Griffith Edel at your needs." He shook my opened hand.
It came to me as a suprise that the chancellor of Germany's Right Hand men were in charge of my escorting to Germany. At that time, Germany was in the middle of modernizing their Capital and surrounding districts as did in Hesia with their trade of oil and navy. So I felt rather shy of this privilege, as there was no need for such presence.
"May I ask of the making of this automobile?" I questioned to him as my attendant put my luggage inside of it's trunk.
"It is the Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith, sir." He opened the passenger door for me and I hoped in, "it is one of Germany's recent inventions."
"Ah, that should be why it is so great in design, and not rough like our Betelionic-variants!" I chuckled away, "but before I depart, may I have some time to talk to my attendant?"

I had departed at exactly 8:04 am under German standard and was making quick pace out of my Manor. During the old days of carriage of which I was so used to; it would have taken atleast four days to reach Krimvald. But, in this Era of German-isms; travel and other parts of our daily lives have improved so vastly.
I shall first talk of the essentials of Germanificiation before my eventual arrival towards Unchean.

Germanification is a hidden war. A new kind of war. An Economic War

I would have to called it an aggression. But that would upset relations between our two countries. In all reality, German law is very confusing to us foreigners. The policies, laws, and others of the same system of governing is very radically different.
See, in Latessia and other continents, there have been few types of governing bodies.
There's the common Monarchy, the Republicians, and we have also seen empires with senates with no discernable leader.
But the Germans are different in that they choose to be ruled by one singular person, one governing body, and are ever more powerful and rule everything in their land. Even kings are shackled by constitution and standing law. But the Germans and their chancellor (even with their peaceful, effective, and great laws) have the power to rule without facing any repurcussion.
They control the economy, they control the law, they control land (meaning no lordship or even commoner really owns land), and above else, they control the people.
Which is where this hidden war I cite comes from.
Using the death-defying strategy of control; Germany makes sure that the populace knows of it's powers and that you are not ruled by yourself, but by the government. During the unity trials of the German Alliance, our great King Apple and the Hesian King Charleston were forced to obey the Germans.
In all actuality, the alliance is more of a simple way of gaining land without waging war. See, after the signing of papers we the Betelions and they the Hesians were forced to mandate education trials throughout our lands.
The newly constructed way of education (the university introduced by the Germans) made future generations of promising children and teenagers alike think like a German with all prospects being that; "when one thinks like a German, one becomes a German."
Although some stay true to their mother-country; others have chosen to flee and stay in Germany simply because of how great it is in Germany.
Although the economy stays true and neat; all the surrounding countries of the German land has seen major decreases in population (due to migration) and has taken quite a few blows in all our economies simply because of the power that rages in the west. Fields of our academics, the ones who wish to know more, fled to Germany.
The ones who wanted to live another life in sucess and opulence, fled to Germany.
Those who wanted to prosper, thinking their country is worse than Germany, they flee to Germany.
Do you see the pattern?
No, it is no pattern really... It is a fish-bone diagram. Where all roads and paths shall meet eventually, 'to Germany.' It is an economic warfare and is a disaster for all it's neighboring countries.
However, why aren't the Betelions, Hesians, Handerbour Republicans upset?
Our economies might be worse than without Germany, however the Germans understood this and took careful consideration to fulfil the basic and advanced needs of our economies. By supplying technology.
Where which we travel to the second clause of Germanification.

Technology. Where others lack, Germany gives.

Technology controls the economy as with better technology, economies can prosper with more regard to it's citizens, quality of life, and for the overall better-ness of the future of a nation. For example, in Betelion; we have seen massive ups, leaps and bounds to the greatness of our industrial strength.
We produce about the same buildings, those brick-laddened three-to-five storey tall buildings of the Germans, meaning we can house more people and can accomodate more luxury. Our roads have massively advanced, in that we use a special type of rock, making it smooth and nice for the cars that traverse it.
Speaking of: Cars! Transportation met a boom in the German Alliance, particularly in Betelion. The military made use of it first before the general populace were able to, however, it soon became available (only for the nobles at first because of the price) but once the knowledge, and the producing of cars was made even more faster and efficient, even a commoner could use them for their general-purpose needs!
Of course; the rural lands have yet to see much of this greatness simply because it is hard to propogate something as such all throughout the vast greatness of the Betelionic Empire.
Before I've festooned off the main topic; technology that Germany gives can either be given through trade, or given through knowledge of which could only happen if the citizens (those children and teenagers as mentioned earlier) were to return to bare the gifts to help the mother-country.
Because of the great nationalism of Betelion, many of our scholars (including I) stayed, and thankfully not many chose to stay in Germany. Which I could not say for the Hesians.
Germany has this monopoly over every aspect of our lives. Technology, knowledge, and overall living.
As Germany continues to expand it's invisible hand, giving the people gifts of technology, making their lives more and more easier, and less and less hard; the people; no matter what country and where. Will revolt in anger the second the Germans stop giving the gifts simply because the country of this fictional people chose to sever or to damage relations.
Meaning, no man can declare war over the Germans after they have been influenced by it's technology.
Lastly;

Germanification is faux and sucessful religion.

Belief is not exactly the first thing that may come to one's mind when thinking of Germanification. However; it is true that the Germans have created a fake religion through their texts, promises, and gifts. Their Chancellor is their God. A God of which they serve, worship through pleasing him in his wants, and a God who is more sucessful than any God of any church.
The Chancellor is treateed as the supreme being of Germany, and no other shall surpass that. People worship his greatness through using the things he's bestowed to the people. The loyalty in which I have observed during my stay in Germany was profoundly great. I heard not one bad thing. I heard no bad things really.
The Germans did not even need a police force, for their citizens were so greatly loyal and respectful for the German Chancellor simply because of the greatness he bestows upon the people so selfless-ly that I am embarrased that even our great Betelion Empire (who has lived countless era) has failed to achieve a true criminal by-gone era.
Academics from around Latessia had all thought it was impossible for a state, for a country to exist without any form of criminal activity. But... There it was. Germany.
With their profound, mind-boggling morals, their knowledge, their God. They were able to create a peaceful state. And one of the most powerful states this world has ever.
Ever.
