I only love 2D girls

Rex was office worker and otaku. His parents passed away, leaving him at 25 years old with significant debts. His life was boring and he had very few friends, only by anime, manga, novels were his saving grace. Job he was doing was barely paying his expenses.

He stumbled upon an advertisement for a live event testing one of humanity's greatest inventions: the Neural-ink A.I chip. They offered a substantial sum for participants in the first live human tests. Rex applied on a whim and was chosen along with a hundred others to undergo a brain operation for the chip installation. 

Rex was the last to visit the neural-ink center to finalize his application. They then transferred him to the hospital, which had a very futuristic appearance. From outside it look like it's made of glass and inside it on first floor was big hall with patients waiting, looking up it had balcony from which you could see ground floor. Rex came by his small car which he parked at underground parking.

They also gave full information on how will there installation will go and how to use A.I chip and every chip will be offline so no one can hack them, They are instruction based, so chip can't do any action without permission of host.

Chip had many features but highlight ones were it can record , store , integration of information directly inside your brain! you can master any subject and it can even create muscle memory meaning you can master any combat art in just days or even hours! it was truly out of the world tech.

The procedure went smoothly for everyone else, they received the chip and were already testing it, their faces filled with excitement. 

"Sir you are not allowed to take anything in operation room" Nurse reminded Rex as he was taking something form his bag. He was wearing patient cloths.

Rex was 169 cm tall with half bald head because of excessive stress. He had below average looks with fat body. Despite being 25 year old he looked like some middle aged uncle.

'Taking Aria-Chan's photo will bring good luck. After receiving money, I will be able to quit my job and live as a true otaku.' Rex was already planning his future career options, sneakily keeping the pendant with Aria-Chan's photo. Rex was crazy fan of Anime character Aria-Chan, she was first girl he fell in love with. Aria-Chan was main character with blond hairs and flat chest. It was anime about how Aria-Chan save kind people from bullies. Rex started to watch it when he was 15 year old and till now he keeps photos of Aria-Chan with him.

He become otaku because of his antisocial nature and because of his ugly looks he had very less friends, he doesn't trusted real life girls as they will give him disgusted look or start ignoring him when he tried to talk, only light in his dark life was anime.

'My life was really was depressing' Rex thought as he shake his head and starts following nurse, Nurse was very professional and polite when speaking, She was head tall then Rex and fair complex, she also had quite big melons.

' What if your are beautiful you all are same!, Even if goddess come down for me, Aria-Chan your only one I will love!' Rex thought as he avert his eyes form those sinful melons.

She introduce his doctor and other staff which will do his operation.

The nurse escorted him to the operating room, where doctors and nurses immediately got to work. Before long, he was administered anesthesia. However, in the midst of the procedure, he began to hear strange noises. Being under the influence of drugs, he struggled to comprehend them clearly.

"Would you like to utilize your life force to activate teleportation? Please respond with yes or no!" Rex heard a robotic voice, but his mind interpreted it differently. To him, it sounded like his beloved Aria-Chan's voice!

"Rex, I've always had a crush on you! You're so charming! Do you love me... respond with yes or no!" Aria-Chan placed her hands on her chest, her expression resolute as she questioned him.

Rex's eyes turned red, and he exclaimed, "YES! I love you, Aria-Chan!!"

After this outburst, he regained his senses, his eyes widening as he took in the scene. The first thing he noticed was a doctor frantically shouting and the cacophony of machines. Gradually, a throbbing pain emanated from the back of his head, and his consciousness began to fade. Amidst the chaos, his only thought was one of regret - realizing that it wasn't Aria-Chan who had spoken those words, but rather his own mind playing tricks on him. He was slowly dying.

" Why is heart rate going down!" Doctor shouted, they where trying everything.

"If he die..." other doctor didn't dare to speak as there job were on line here.

Doctor took electric machine to give shock to heart. but it was not working, Rex saw them desperately trying to save him but he could feel it he was already losing consciousness.

'sigh* they claimed a 100% installation success rate. Damn, my luck is so bad, At my life's last moment, I.... 'Rex muttered as darkness engulfed his vision.

He was the last to undergo the operation but unfortunately, luck was not on his side as the chip turned out to be defective he thought! without knowing what he agreed to!

In a small apartment, a person stared at the white ceiling with a blank expression, like many of his fellow protagonists.

Rex transmigrated. It had been an hour has fully integrated memory of this body! But information was not very clear ,this is familiar setting for protagonists. Rex himself had read many of such novels.

" but why I am having stomach pain" Rex thought.
