Ethan’s brother

"We are here"the sexy stranger informed as he stopped in front of the coffee shop.

He stepped out of the car and Emily,he threw his key for the security man to park his car.

"Let go in"he entered the shop with Emily behind who was still flabbergasted that he just wanted a coffee for his compensation.

Emily sat opposite the sexy stranger as she glanced at him.

"I'm still sorry for the damages"she smiled a little trying to make conversations.

"Mister-"

"Ethan"he replied.

Ethan,she sounded the name in her head before smiling again.

Soon their coffee arrived and Emily drank hers in a go cause she was nervous and felt she would shatter soon.

"What your taste in a man?"Ethan asked,

Emily almost choked hearing his words,

She dropped the cup and stared at him,

"What?"she questioned,

"I like you"he replied to her and her eyes widened more seeing how straightforward he was.

"I don't expect a reply from you now and I would like to know you better"he gave her a small smile.

Emily felt awkward and somehow her heart soften.

"Your phone"he stretched his hand out and Emily's brows furrowed,

"I want to give you my number"his gaze soft.

Emily nodded and exchanged numbers with the man.

They made few conversations and Emily felt relaxed around him and after he dropped her off back and left.

She watched his car retracing and couldn't help smile,was she falling already?

"You finally found a boyfriend"Riley said happily hearing about Emily's date.

Emily giggled hearing her friend words,

"I don't know about that yet"she concluded.

Riley rolled her eyes knowing her friend,

"Emily!!"a voice thundered and both girls stared at each other before running down.

"Mom"Emily stared at her mom before turning her gaze to the person who sat on her couch.

It was someone she hadn't met before,a brown haired tall man.

"Hello Emily"he flashed her a smile,

Some reason she felt she knew the man and frowned walking up to them.

"He says he is a friend of yours"her mother stared directly at her.

"Forgive my manners ma'am,she is dating my brother"he smiled.

His brother?!

Both Emily and Riley were dumbfounded,

"I'm Ryder by the way,Ethan's brother"he got up and stretched his hand out to her.

"Ethan's brother?"Emily furrowed her brows,

Ryder frowned,

"He didn't tell you about me?"he looked in denial,retracting his stretched hand.

"Please excuse us mom"Emily turned to her mother with a small smile who gave her a look before leaving the room.

"Why are you here?"Emily questioned,

"To meet my future sister in law"he smirked,

Emily stared sternly not believing his words,

"Seems you are powerful enough to know my home"she didn't get why the sexy stranger's brother came over,or was he in trouble?

"But I'm not your brother's girlfriend,we are just talking"Emily felt it was too much seeing the man at her place.

"Stay away from my brother"Ryder smiled sinisterly,

"What?"was this like in the movies,where the family warned to stay away from their golden son.

"Let me show you something"Ryder stated,

Emily frowned and it came like a dazzling tale to her,she stood on a skyscraper building,it was so tall she felt she could fall any moment.

She turned to see Ryder standing looking majestic and fine,good looks do run in their family.

"Where are we?"Emily felt surreal and stunned,

"How did we get here should be the question child"he smirked at her showing off his perfect white teeth and his expression nonchalant.

"Are you Batman?"Emily frowned,there was no other explanation for how they appeared here.

Ryder frowned,

"Comparing me to a cartoon"

With his fast reflexes,he ran to her in a dash that Emily felt the world had stopped that moment.

She slipped and almost fell when Ryder caught her in his arms but what shocked her was his eye color,they were red,it wasn't brown anymore.

He smiled showing long canine like teeth in his mouth making Emily gasp.

"What are you?"her eyes widened in disbelief.

Suddenly Emily and Ryder were back in her living room seeing Riley watching Tv while eating a snack.

"I will leave now"Ryder smiled,his eye turned brown back making Emily gasp more.

He left and Emily immediately ran after him but getting outside,she didn't see him again.

Emily went back inside,

"Ril"she called,

Riley turned to her seeing her worried expression,

"Did you know I was gone?"she asked seeing how Riley had not reacted to her or Ryder.

"No,you were here watching tv with me"Riley replied with a frown.

"But I'm not watching right now"Emily furrowed her brows thinking if she was hypnotized.

"You just got up Emily"Riley laughed.

"Did you see the man that came here?"Emily asked while staring at Riley.

"No one came Emily,are you alright?"Riley felt she had lost it.

"Mom"Emily saw her mom and ran to her.

"Did you see the man mom?"she asked hoping someone remembered,

"No Emily,we were alone in the house dear"her mom replied before going to the kitchen.

Emily was flabbergasted thinking what creature was he to take their memories away.

She decided to keep it to herself not to get anyone worried right now and texted the only person she could tell.

Emily didn't know if it was right going to someone she didn't know much about home right now,but she was torn between and wanted answers.

She looked at the address on her phone before staring at the old familiar building that stood at her front.

She drove in before parking her car at the entrance.

She thought on if she had been here before but shook of the feeling knowing that wasn't her aim right now.

Standing on the doorstep,she rang the doorbell and soon an old man stepped out.

"Who are you?"he stared at her,

"Emily,looking for Ethan sir"she replied.
