Chapter 29 Progress of Events_1

The sky gradually darkened, and Situ Xin had still not found a way to inform her family. She was very annoyed with herself for why she had to be only five months old. If only she were a bit older.

"Come, Xiao Xin, let's go to sleep," said the matron. Since Situ Xin had just arrived at the orphanage and was so young, the matron didn't feel comfortable letting her sleep alone, so at night, she would bring Situ Xin to sleep with her.

Situ Xin looked at the matron Auntie in front of her and thought, "If I speak up and tell matron Auntie that I was stolen from home, what would her reaction be?" Situ Xin then shook her head, figuring that matron Auntie would surely be scared out of her wits. Not to mention that her being able to speak at such a young age was already hard to accept. Furthermore, the things she would say would likely make matron Auntie think she was some kind of demon or ghost.
