Sleepless Night-5

Taking care of the rest of the goblins was an effortless task for Arun, courtesy of him leveling up. From what he saw, the goblins in the camp were all non-combant goblins. One by one, he was able to take care of them effortlessly. But while massacring the goblins, he did snoop around the place and found a lot of useful things.

He found some small earthen-pots full of black poison on the arrowheads. He also found a chest with glowing rocks and coins inside, which he quickly stored in his inventory. He also found a long machete-type sword. He was tempted to take it, but he needed more space in his inventory.

And it was only after scavenging anything useful, did he started making his way to the battlefield…

The voice from the battlefield had died down by that time. Still, it was easier for Arun to get to the battlefield, from the destruction which was left behind in the wake of the battle. There were several burned spots here and there, which he figured were the courtesy of the Goblin Shaman.

When he did reach the scene, he found himself staring at an unbelievable scene.

The great Erymanthian boar was lying on the ground. It was breathing very heavily, its stomach was going up and down like a heartbeat. There were burn marks all over the big body of the boar. While its face was covered in black goo.

While on the other side, a handful of goblins were standing surrounding a big goblin. Unlike the Mother Goblin that he bumped into earlier, this one was around 6 feet high. That big goblin had what looked like a long staff with a blue color glowing orb attached to the end of the staff. Seeing that staff and the length of the goblin, Arun assumed that this must be the Shaman that he had to kill.

It was then the Shaman fell onto its knees. Seeing this he understood that maybe the Shaman had depleted all of its mana. That is why he was on his knees.

Seeing that both the boar and the magician were done, he instantly took action. He first looked around and counted around 7 goblins, including The Shaman, around the boar. So he instantly took one arrow and took his aim at the nearest goblin. And then he fired his shot.

The arrow from his bow whistled in the air and pierced the goblin in his leg. Arun had aimed for the torso of the goblin but the trajectory of the arrow was messed up. But still, he was happy that the arrow pierced through the leg.

As one of their comrades was shot down, every goblin started looking in his direction. Seeing a human triggered them, and they started running towards him with machetes and small wooden circular shields. So he also took his sword and shield and got ready for combat.

The goblins started running towards him with fury. Arun saw that there was an archer amongst them. Seeing him, he instantly made that goblin his first target. He started running toward him at full speed. While running, he did not forget that the other party was an archer. That essentially meant that he had to be wary of him. That is why he ran in unexpected patterns so that the goblin could not have a clear shot of him.

As Arun got close to the archer, the archer eventually took a shot. But the wooden shield of Arun made sure that the arrow could not come close to him. And as soon as Arun got close, his machete pierced through the face of the goblin…

Taking care of the rest of the goblins was not an easy task, but Arun managed to do so somehow. And now all that was left are the main culprits.

He first walked towards the heavy boar that burnt to a crisp. He then poured the poison that he brought from the goblin camp all over the boar's wound. The amount of poison that he poured would make sure that the boar would die tonight.

He then walked towards the Magician goblin who was lying on the ground. As Arun got close to him, the goblin started yelling in some gibberish language. Arun thought that maybe he was cursing him for killing his tribesmen. He was not interested in goblin any time soon, so he killed the thing immediately, with ease.

"He doing well." the man said, "For a person who doesn't have their memory, i think he is doing exceptionally well," he said as he watched Arun killing the Shaman.

The man had a scarred face, half of its face was normal. While the other half looked as if it had melted. The man looked rather hideous.

Currently, the man sitting a what looks like a cave. He was seated on a seat carved from grey stone. While the cave itself didn't have any sort of light in it, and didnt have anything luxuries in it, considering the identity of the man.

Sitting by his side, was a woman. The woman looked like she was in her thirties and was also intently staring at the screen.

"He is following the path of Warlock it seems. That is also good right?" the woman asked.

"Yes, but my familia members, should excel in Mage Class. Fighting by hand, that is my brother and my father's department. We giants, have always been the people of magic. Warlock class is good, but i dont think that it could work in my familia." Mr. Dow said.

"He seems like a quick-witted guy, I think he may be able to pull off the Warlock class." The woman said.

"I hope you are right Sigyn." Mr. Dow said.

The woman then looked up and sighed. "Dear, I think the bowl is full. I will be back."

Then the woman got up and looked at his head. Suddenly a bowl appeared over his head, like magic. The bowl on his head was filled with liquid that gave off transparent vapor and smelled very bad. Sigyn then picked up the bowl and left the cave.

After she left, the drop of the same liquid from the bowl manifested itself and fell on the burned side of the man.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" He screamed in pain.

Soon another drop manifested itself and fell on him. And like this, the drops kept on falling on the man's face and he kept screaming in agony. Soon Sigyn returned and kept the bowl back at the man's head, making the pain go away.
