The code name “Shikari” was the only thing that Arun learned from his Status window, about his past. Why he didnt have his memories, when everyone in the Tower of Yggdrasil had theirs, he didnt know. 

But three things were clear to him from the start. First, he was an anomaly in the Tower of Yggdrasil, and his existence would be erased if the truth came out. Second, unlike others in the Tower, he knew exactly where he was going and was helped by someone outside of the tower. Third, Shikari, meaning The Hunter is a pseudonym that was best suited to him. Because he felt that he had a taste of blood before even setting foot in the Tower. 

In a world that should breed fear and concern, an environment that makes his fellow players falter, Arun instead finds himself thriving.

Perhaps, he was born for this kind of world.

Strongest Hunter's Ascension

As Arun and Adam went inside Remo, the lifeless land sent a chill down their spine. Most of the houses were completely demolished, while the roads of the city were filled with corpses of people. Unlike monsters, the people of this world do not vanish into nothingness after their death, which is why they were able to see rotting corpses littered all around them.

The body around them had started deteriorating, but the faces of the people were still intact. He could see their facial expression, all of them looked horrified. Some were clutching their throat, while some had their loved ones by their side.

"You see that?" Adam said while pointing at a rock formation of some sort. They found patches of pitch-black rock formation as they went deeper into the city. These formations were scrambled all around them, clearly not made by humans, and were formed after the destruction.

But he didnt know what these rocks were, "What are they?" he asked.
