You don't have a choice

Flash back 2 weeks ago:

As Moli and I made our way back to my room, the weight of the day's events hung heavy in the air. My mind was still reeling from the encounter with Aurelia, the clandestine whispers, the stolen moments in the sparring room. But before I could dwell on those thoughts any longer, Riley's serious demeanor snapped me back to reality.

As we entered my room, Riley's gaze bore into mine, her expression unreadable. Moli stood by, her presence a silent support. Before I could utter a word, Riley turned to Moli with a decisive tone.

"Moli, could you please go outside and fetch something for me? I need to speak with Lydia alone," she requested, her voice tinged with urgency.

Moli glanced between us, her brow furrowing in concern, but she nodded and exited the room without a word, leaving Riley and me alone.
