I love her

I woke up feeling an unfamiliar warmth coursing through my veins. As I blinked my eyes open, memories from the previous day washed over me. The fight with the demon killer, the stabbing pain, and then... Lydia. My heart skipped a beat as I remembered drinking her blood. The thought should have filled me with dread, but instead, I felt an unexpected sense of comfort and vitality.

I turned my head slightly and saw Lydia sitting in a chair beside my bed, her head resting on the edge of the mattress. She looked exhausted, but there was a serene expression on her face. I reached out and gently touched her shoulder.

"Lydia," I whispered.

Her eyes fluttered open, and she smiled warmly at me. "Aurelia, you're awake. How do you feel?"

"Better," I replied, my voice still weak but steadier than before. "Thanks to you."

Lydia's cheeks flushed, and she shook her head. "I just did what needed to be done. I'm glad you're feeling better."
