Awkward situation

"Who is it?" I called out, my voice trembling with a mix of frustration and fear.

"It's me, Alexander," came the muffled reply from the other side of the door. "We need to talk."

I groaned, covering my face with my hands. "Not now," I muttered, the spell of our intimacy broken. Aurelia squeezed my hand reassuringly, her presence grounding me.

"Lydia, please," Alexander insisted, his voice more insistent. "It's important."

I sighed, trying to maintain my composure. "Alexander, I'm too tired for this right now. Can we talk tomorrow?"

There was a moment of silence, and then, to my dismay, the door handle turned, and Alexander began to push the door open. Panic flashed in my eyes, and I glanced at Aurelia, who quickly and silently slipped to the side of the bed, out of sight.

"Lydia, I really think we need to discuss—" Alexander started as he stepped into the room, his eyes scanning for me.
