Rye knew the exact moment his gaze slid down her face to her chest, as he leaned closer until she could feel his breath on her neck.

Rye was the first to regain consciousness, shocked to see Holi still lying unconscious beside her, while Lady Nihmah sat on the ground some steps away.

"Don't move!!! Stay on the ground and remain silent!" Lady Nihmah's commanding voice suddenly resounded in Rye's ears as she scrambled to get up and move closer to Holi.

"Holi is fine!! But I'm not sure it's safe yet!"

Rye immediately looked around and sure enough, the entire building had collapsed in on itself and dust still settled in the air making it difficult to see.

There were huge cracks on the ground, deep enough to make her feel like it wouldn't take much for the ground to completely split open and swallow them.
