A Revealing Canvas

The silence in the living room was almost deafening. Ethan couldn't stand it any longer, so he spoke up, breaking the uncomfortable stillness that hung in the air. "Hey, Seth, do you have any extra clothing?" he asked.

Seth simply nodded and tossed the keys to Ethan. "Yeah, there are suits and shoes in the van," he replied.

Ethan grinned, a hint of amusement on his face. "Always prepared, aren't you, little brother?" he teased.

Seth rolled his eyes and retorted, "Don't call me little brother. And yeah, I like to be prepared for any situation. Something you'll pick up eventually when you have been around for as long as you can remember."

"I know. I know. You really should accept it though. You go beyond whilst doing it sometimes you know. Making preparations I mean. Some might say you're paranoid."

Ethan said, with his entire attention totally diverted to the Blank TV screen in front of him.
