The Brothers' Endeavor.

George and Jonah hurried through the labyrinthine alleys of Milan, Caleb leading the way. The afternoon sun blazed overhead, but the narrow passageways remained in shadow, shielded by the towering buildings on either side. The air was thick with the mingled scents of the city—cooking from nearby restaurants, the musk of garbage left too long in the heat, and the faint whiff of exhaust from distant traffic.

The brothers moved close to bustling areas, seeking the safety that crowds could provide. Caleb’s eyes scanned every face, his ears attuned to the sounds of the city, alert for any hint of pursuit. It was in one of these throngs that Caleb spotted a man moving towards them with a predator's purpose. Without a word, he led his brothers into yet another alley, their footsteps echoing in the confined space. They pressed themselves into the shadows, waiting for the danger to pass.
