In the car, Maxwell asked, “So, what do you think?”
“I think they know about this. It is either that or they suspected the boys were into something like that. What I don't understand is why they would allow it or even try to cover them up. A child almost got killed for God's sake!”
“Just my thoughts,” Maxwell said as he clipped his seat belt. “Those two definitely know something.”
“Do you trust Han to do the right thing?”
“He is a decent man, and he owes me a favour. He would do the right thing, or he would have me to contend with. Let’s give him twenty-four hours as promised,” he said as he started the car.
“I think therapy would help her. We should get both of them into therapy. I know Junior seemed almost unbothered about it, but one can never tell about these things. If there is anything I have learned, it is that unpleasant memories tend to stay with kids more.”
