Doppelgänger target

"Jump. Now!" Jorgenson yelled at him.

It was the first time Cameron would ever be afraid of death even though he is a vampire. The bodyguards weren't joking at all, they started firing at him. He simply had no choice.

"Mother...." He whispered and jumped.

His body pierced the glassy windows as he jumped. He made sure to activate his vampire abilities to reduce the impact of the fall. Jumping from that high story building isn't for the weak. Like he was floating, he tumbled against a car and landed on the ground with his two legs.

By the time Cameron glanced at where he saw the snipper earlier, he had disappeared. Immediately, a car zoomed towards where he was and he hopped in. He breathed out in relief as he rested his back at the backseat of the car, just wanting to go back home.

"Now, that's just a test." He heard the hardened voice.

Cameron jolted. He had completely forgotten he had a Bluetooth in his ear. "What do you mean a test?" He asked.

"The man you just killed was the doppelganger of Richard Mics. The real Richard Mics is at Michigan right now." Jorgenson explained.

"What the fuck are you talking about? The drama I just escaped was a test? Risking my life that way was a fucking test!" Cameron yelled.

The driver looked at him with the corner of his eyes and Cameron knew immediately that it was a known plan since the beginning.

Jorgenson sighed. "Richard Mics is Richard Mics but him having a doppelganger is a threat to us and that was why you had to eliminate him." He explained further.

"The agreement was to apprehend runway assassin, not to kill them." Cameron wasn't buying the explanation at all.

"Will you wait for his bodyguards to kill you before you can apprehend him? Assassin should be killed and not spared." Jorgenson said.

Cameron sighed. "What if I say I just want to go home?" He asked calmly. Jorgenson let out a small laugh.

"Your mission isn't yet completed."

The car came to a stop abruptly that threw Cameron off his seat. "Get in the plane." The car was opened by the driver and Cameron came down only to find himself in the airport. He walked into plane and sat by the window frustratingly.

Forty minutes passed and the plane landed. A man stopped him and Cameron wondered where he came from, how come he didn't see him in the plane?

The man stretched a box to him and Cameron was sure it would contain a gun. "I don't need it." Cameron said angrily and walked out of the plane.

"Are all details sent?" The cold aura Cameron seemed to be back. Cameron brought out his tablet and opened it. "House 21, Park dale road. Wife and two kids, likeable of not being around. A large safe located at the back of his wine cellar." He frowned. Where is the information about the safe?

Cameron got peering eyes. He totally forgot the face mask of Richard Mics was still on his face. Maybe people are scared of him or fazed about him being a celebrity. No wonder the earlier secretary seemed shocked.

"Scram!!" Cameron wanted so much to scream that out but he kept his cool.

A man packing goods out of his truck, Cameron entered into the opened car and drove off aggressively. He made use of his google map to locate the street and in no time, he arrived there.

"Six bodyguards stationed at the gate. Two at the main entrance. Two at the main room where he must be right now. Around two hundred bodyguards all around the house in total and they are quite dangerous." Jorgenson said.

Cameron knew he wasn't armed and he wouldn't want to alert the guards even before he has the chance to enter the house.

The truck was parked at a very safe distance while he made use of his legs. He ran towards the gate in a circular motion so that no one would be able to hear his footsteps.

In no time, he already climbed the gate without being noticed. "There are no guards at the kitchen entrance now." Cameron ran towards the suggested kitchen area. He stumbled on one of the bodyguards coming from the area of the swimming pool, probably one on rotating duty. Cameron threw him a neck punch but that didn't help.

Cameron made his nails elongate, he dug it deep into his neck and the guard fell. He is definitely going to bleed to death. Cameron slipped into the kitchen, their chefs weren't there which made things easier. Quickly, the living room was located but Cameron paused when he saw the two kids watching cartoon network.

He dodged them easily since they were so engrossed in their cartoon. "The wine cellar." Jorgenson reminded.

Cameron brought out the table knife he had slipped into his shirt earlier. The wine cellar was really wide and would be difficult to open. Hold on, it doesn't look like it was safe because there were no seals visible.

"Look closely, Rutten." Jorgenson whispered and Cameron paused. His eyes roamed slowly around every corner of the wine cellar.

There! He found it. A very small screw at the right side, another at the left hand side. Quickly, he made use of the knife to unscrew them. One dropped on the floor and Cameron froze, his eyes on the door hoping no one heard the sound.

He opened it and there was the safe staring at him but it needed a password. "Zip code - 48202." Cameron typed it in and it opened. His lips curved into a smirk. There were several guns and grenades.

"You can take it all." Jorgenson said sarcastically and Cameron rolled his eyes.

Cameron's eyes glinted. He picked a Heckler P9S shotgun, Remington rifle and three grenades. He left the safe open, very contented all the guns were loaded. Assassin doesn't fail in that aspect, always ready for any impromptu visit. This kill wouldn't be easy.

He moved quickly to the master bedroom. Richard Mics was definitely there, having a good time with his wife. Cameron pushed the door open, pointing the shotgun at him.

"Who are you?" His wife jumped out of the bed and Cameron shot at her leg.

Richard was still on the bed unfazed, glancing at his wounded wife like she was nothing to him. "You must have heard your doppelganger is dead." Cameron said, monitoring every of his movements.

Richard Mics only chuckled like he heard nothing. "Move away from the door....now!" Jorgenson yelled.

Before those words could be completed, the door bursted with a bomb, throwing Cameron off balance to a corner of the room. It was obvious Richard Mics had pressed a button that activated that effect.

"There's a killer in." Cameron shook the dizziness away from his eyes as he heard bodyguards yelling.

He sprang up quickly, holding his gun. The wife was already unconscious while Richard Mics was already out of the room.

"Fuck!" Cameron muttered, going out of the room. He checked around, making sure there was no bodyguard around. He killed the ones around and made sure there was no one snooping around.

"Where is he?" Cameron asked.

"I can't see him anywhere. His cameras are dismantled, I can't see anything." Jorgenson complained. "His kids!" He pointed and Cameron rushed to the window of the living room, he could see Richard driving out. Does an assassin try to escape? He is afraid of going back to prison or being killed.

Cameron activated his vampire abilities, ran past the bodyguards even before they knew it. He got into the truck and started racing after Richard's car. They drove after one another in the streets of Michigan. Cameron controlled the wheel with his left hand while shooting at Richard's car with his right hand.

Cars were falling out of the road line because of two psychopaths chasing each other. In a few minutes, Cameron's car was exactly beside Richard's and he used the opportunity to shoot but he dodged, hitting Cameron's car with full force.

Cameron's car turned 360 degrees and he made it come to an abrupt stop that banged his head hard on the steering which made him pass out immediately while Richard's car swirled upside down in a terrible motion. The car started leaking. Two kids were crying bitterly. Richard was trying hard to open the driver's side door.

"Rutten!!" Cameron grunted in pain as he heard the yell in his ears. "You are close." Cameron grunted again, wiping blood from his forehead which was dripping nonstop. He picked the the shotgun and walked to Richard's car.

The kids were crying so loud that Cameron felt irritated, why were they crying so loud? "Richard Mics." Cameron pointed the gun at him. His eyes strangely darted towards one of the kids, a girl who would probably be around six years old. She had stopped crying and was staring intently at the gun in his hands.

"Do it!" Jorgenson whispered. The girl and Cameron's eyes made contact when he fired the gun twice. Richard Mics dropped dead in the upside down car.

"You should get out of there." Jorgenson warned. Cameron suddenly felt bad for the kids. Now they are fatherless but nevertheless, their father is a criminal.

"Why didn't you make it clear there were two Richard Mics? You almost killed me!" Cameron pushed Jorgenson's chest hard and two bodyguards held him.

"You wouldn't have done the mission if you knew." Jorgenson said. Cameron hated his guts and the way he behaves nonchalantly.

"You were successful nonetheless, we should celebrate." Cameron hissed at his words. "I am done!" He banged the table and wanted to walk out. His phone rang at that moment.

"Your training starts tomorrow, 4pm." Jorgenson said.

"Cameron, Gray....he has been convulsing for three hours." Glendale cried on the phone and Cameron's eyes widened.
