Awakening 2

"Where Is My Grandson?"

It has been two days now since the Academy left the city to the wastelands to see Jason in action and during that two days, there has been no sign of Jace anywhere making the entire city panic as the Storm Goddess has finally made her appearance after so many years of staying out of the spotlight.

When Miranda did not hear any news about Jason, she destroyed the mansion of Dean Silas for bit bringing back her grandson.

Meanwhile Dean Silas does not even have any idea that, Jace followed them, heck he has even completely forgotten that someone like Jace even existed in the Academy.

On the other hand, Jason has remained silent about everything and pushed all the blame to the Dean as it was his idea to have the students go to the wastelands to watch him (Jason) fight against the Monsters and he did not pay attention to his student which resulted in one of them setting off the luring device making the monsters go frenzy.

Presently, Miranda is in the office of the Dean giving him a deathly glare which is making the poor man sweating from the intense pressure from her.

"I just need a little bit of time and I promise that I will bring him back to you as soon as possible" said the Dean.

"Dead or Alive?" Miranda asked not taking her eyes off the Dean.

The Dean was stunted by the question while looking at Miranda's facial expression to see if she was just messing around with him but she wouldn't be called the Storm Goddess if it was that easy to get a read on her.

So he decided to take a leap of faith and prayed that he gave her a satisfying answer "I will make sure to do anything within my power to bring him back alive" he said.

"Good, and I hope you live up to your promise because, you might join my grandson wherever he is if I don't see him"

Miranda said before flying out of the window of the Dean's office.

The Dean sighed in relief after Miranda left and was grateful he gave her a satisfying answer if not, he wondered what would have become of him right now.

"[Sigh] I have to go look for him personally, I have no idea what those guys are even doing in that wastelands" said the Dean standing up from his seat and looking outside from his window and frowned.

He could see the people from the Norman Family moving around every corner of the city, asking everyone they could see if they had seen Jace which was weird because everyone in the city knew that the Norman Family never truly cared for Jace and now they are turning the whole city upside down just to look for him.

"And this is not a ruse, the way Miranda looked at me earlier suggest she was ready to kill me if I accidentally said something I should not have said, so all of these means that she truly cared for that boy and not only her, with all this intense search, it can only be possible if that person is involved, Damn it" said the Dean regretting his actions and negligence towards Jace and for going to that damn wastelands to watch Jason fight.

The Dean sighed one last time before walking out of his office to go look for Jace himself before the Storm Goddess comes knocking at his door one last time.

Norman Family Estate

"How is the search going?"

"Not going to lie father, but we have not even gotten a proper lead since we began our search"

"[Sigh] Jared is going to turn the city upside down if he comes back and finds out that his son is nowhere to be found"

"That should be the least of your worries"

Both father and daughter raised their head to see Miranda walking inside looking furious.

James could feel a headache coming his way when he thought of what Miranda would do if Jace is not found very soon, Jared got that from her.

"You should calm down once in a while mother, it is not good for your health to be all worked up like this" said Janice trying to lighten up the tense mood.

"I will only calm down when my grandson is back and tell that brother of yours, Jason to say the truth before I lose it" said Miranda.

She did not believe that Jason did not catch any sight of Jace in the wastelands, he is an Omega Level Gifted for crying out loud and his control over his powers could be said to be perfect, so it is surprising to her that he did not find Jace in the wastelands, he is clearly hiding something and she is determined to find out what it is.

"Are you insinuating that he has something to do with the disappearance of Jace?" Janice asked her mother.

"I'm bit saying he has something to do with Jace's disappearance but he did not help him, because I still can't believe that an Omega Level Gifted could not look around to see if his sick nephew was still around there somewhere to help him, that's all I'm saying but if indeed he has something to do with his disappearance, then ..."

"Stripping him of his position as the heir of the Norman Family would be the least of his punishment"

James completed what his wife was about to say stunning Janice who was with them.

"And who are you planning to give your position after you retire old man?" Janice asked her father with a hint of disgust in her tone.

James did not answer her and just looked at her as if it was obvious already.

"God please no"

The Wastelands

After two days passed, a frail looking boy laying in a crater opened his blue eyes and looked around him slowly trying to make sense of where he was when suddenly he remembered the last few minutes before he blacked out.

"Am I not still dead?"

Jace was bombarded with a lot of notifications that appeared in the form of three screens, one was a bloody red with dark shadows, the second one has a holy and demonic aura emanating from it and the last one is just a normal blue screen.

"What the hell is this thing?"
