Awakening 4: Emergency Quest

**Ding, Mission System unlocked**

**The Mission System is where the host can receive quests/mission from all three systems. The missions are divided into;

—Daily Quests

—Monthly Quests

—Annual Quests

—Emergency Quests

—Chain Quests

"[Hmm], a quest, let me see what it is about. Mission System"

**Ding, Mission System Activated**

—Daily Quests (opened)

—Monthly Quests (locked)

—Annual Quests (locked)

—Emergency Quests (temporary unlocked)

—Chain Quests (locked)

Jace tapped on the Emergency Quests that was blinking in the Mission System which makes him believe that it was something urgent.

As soon as he pressed on the Emergency Quests, the screen changed and just like he expected, he saw the mission.

**Ding, it is detected that the host is surrounded by lifeforms that holds hostility towards the host and it seems like the perfect ground for the host to complete his awakening, so it is advised that the host kill every monsters here and level up to level 10 to complete your awakening into a full fledged Nephalem Hybrid**

—Unlock Additional Skills in each species

—+10 stats point to freely allocate

Jace sighed and looked at his surroundings while stretching his body, "even if I don't feel that weakness in my body anymore, I don't I could take this monsters head on, so I have to face them one on one and deal a decisive blow to them" he said as he looked at where he fell to see if he could find anything that belongs to him like his spatial backpack which his filled with his experimental gadgets to help him deal with his current predicament.

But he did not see his backpack so he has to look for another means to defend himself.

**Ding, detected that the monster are getting closer to the host, the host should get ready**

"Shit, I don't even have any time left, forget it, I will just have to face them head on" Jace cursed as he got into a fighting stance "now I know why I learned everything quickly"

Jace said looking at his intelligence stats in all his systems that was undefined.

Ever since he was a little boy, he always finds things every easy to learn which made his grandfather gave him everything that belongs to the first Jace Norman so that he could learn everything he could from them.

He also watched his father train with the guards, Gifteds that are affiliated with the Norman Family and the other speedsters that always come to ask for his father's guidance.

So even if he has never fought before, he could defend himself and deal so damage to these monsters and even kill a few of the Monsters to level up and get stronger.

Roar!!!

Jace looked up to see a very large group of monsters glaring at him.

"This is going to get complicated"

He said knowing the kind of monsters he was going face.

A Longecho, a very large, unique, quadrupedal mammal with a wedge shaped head, two sunken mousey brown eyes, no ears, a pointed nose, and a pair of piercing mandibles.

It has a serpentine neck, and its shoulders are narrow. It has a long, flat torso. It has two short, weak forelegs, two fragile hind legs that end in three-toed hooves and a weak tail.

The Longecho's body is covered in short hair.

It has the markings of a great white shark in dark orange and straw.

"Of all the monsters to appear, its you Longechos, but I will not let my fears get the better of me" said Jace staring at the Longechos.

Roar!!!

With a burst of speed the Longechos Monsters rushed at Jace.

Jace with his new found strength and speed, Jace was able to evade the advancing monster while creating a distance between him and the monsters.

"I can't fight this monsters with my bare hands and I don't have a weapon here" said Jace looking at the surrounding trying to see if he could find anything usable but all he could see was pieces of rock created the crater "I guess I have to resort to using only that"

Without wasting anymore time, Jace picked a piece of rock and aimed it at one of the Longechos piercing through its eyes causing it to roar in pain.

"Bulls-eyes" said Jace as he rushed at the injured Longecho and bashing its head with a large rock bursting its brains out and killing it instantly.

**Note, the Experience is for defeating the Longecho is 10, but because of having three systems and the Experience Bar is one, every time the hosts defeats or kill an enemy, the host will receive ×3 of the experience**

"That's nice but I still have a long way to go"

Roar!!!

Jace raised his head and looked at the remaining four Longechos and sighed while thinking of ways to kill them in one fell swoop.

"Bring it on"

Roar!!!

The Longechos attacked Jace together to avenge their fallen fellow Longecho.

Jace used his earlier tactic, evasion and offense tactics and that was how he killed the remaining four Longechos.

"This is going to be really slow if I were wait for the monsters to come to me, I must find another way if I am to level up quickly and get back to the city" said Jace as he looked at his exp bar and sighed at how slow it is to progress to the next level.

Exp: 120/300

Jace looked at the crater and that's when an idea popped into his head, causing him to smirk "simple and effective"

Jace said as he went looking for materials to carry out his plan.

Back At United Republic

Norman Family Estate

"There is still no trace of life in the wastelands" said Janice to her parents.

"Who is in charge of the search?" Miranda asked her daughter.

Janice sighed and looked at her mother and did not know how to tell her who was overseeing the whole operation look for Jace as she likes to call it.

When seeing the look on Janice's face, James and Miranda did not need any body to tell them who it was as they already knew who it was.

"Get me Jason this instant"
