Reunion

-Eight Years Post Saturation Completion.-

Soon enough, Brenden guided me into the living room, and we were quickly joined by Emilia, who erected a barrier around us with her talent, blocking off anyone or anything that may be watching.

"Well, it seems you two haven't lowered your guard at all in these last two years," I said with a slight chuckle.

"You say that as if we aren't locked in the same room with the world's first S-Class Villain." Brenden didn't miss a beat as he responded while wearing a knowing smirk.

"Coming from one of the Top Pro-Ranking Heros, I don't really know how to feel about that. It's good to see you, little brother, little sister," nodding to Emilia, I couldn't help but feel a sense of calming warmth that could only be brought by being around close family members.

No matter what path I had chosen for myself, my brother and sister-in-law still welcomed me with open and nonjudgemental arms. They understood why I had done what I did, and even if they were against my actions, it didn't change their perception of me because, deep down, they wished they could do the very same things I had.

Let it be known that I didn't actively seek to murder innocent people; sure, collateral damage during large battles happened, and by no means did I shy away from killing anyone deemed innocent, but I wasn't the type of person who would walk up to a random person on the street and eviscerate them with my claws.

However, don't get it f***ed up; if push came to shove, and I had to kill a group of innocents being held against their will as meat shields, I would and had done it in a heartbeat, without remorse.

"I see you decided to go for the Evolution Route…" Observing me with a fine-toothed comb, Brenden was able to pick up the subtle changes in my physical appearance, the faint shimmer in my eyes, my unblemished skin, hell, even my hair seemed to have a faint shine to it now.

"Indeed I have, and I can tell you have as well; both of you have; it's just…you are only Second Classifications…why?" Sensing something was off, I had expected the two of them to have access to the High Human Race. Still, I observed them and felt an unsettling feeling inside of me welling up.

"I feel like I should be annoyed by how you're looking at me as if I'm beneath you right now, Tay…but the truth is, Human 2C was the best option we had to pick from." Narrowing his eyes, Brenden continued.

"And we had thought that was a good thing, but the energy I sense rolling off your body…you got something more…did you Evolve to a 3C race?" Beside him, Emilia's eyes widened as she came to the same conclusion.

The two of them had fought in the Myriad Races War and come up against 3C Beings before, and now, the man they had known for years and years was emitting the same pressure as those they had fought.

"About that…yeah, when it came time for me to Evolve, the 3C variation of Humans popped up; it's called High Human, and well, let me just warn you, jumping classes isn't fun." Wearing a wry smile, I leaned back on the plush and no doubt expensive couch while watching how my brother and sister-in-law reacted to my words.

"Let me warn you, though, apart from a slight power boost, it reallllly wasn't worth it to jump, and it's the reason I'm also still in the Gamma Rank while both of you made it to Delta."

It took some time for me to explain, but by the end of my narrative, both Brenden and Emilia wore stern expressions.

"So you have a 1:100 Xp ratio…no wonder you are stuck in the Gamma Rank; I will say, though, if we had started with the additional Stat points…whew, well, let's just be happy that wasn't a thing, because the world would have been more chaotic." After digesting everything I had said, Brenden finally broke the silence.

"Yeah, it may not seem like much in the grand scheme, but if we look at it from the number of levels we went through…" I took a second to run the calculations.

At present, Delta is the highest rank anyone on Earth has achieved, so looking at it objectively, it was time to calculate just how many Stat points I had accumulated over the years.

Starting with the No-Rank category, as I have said before, to reach the Alpha-Rank, you must go from level 0 to level five, and as a Basic Human, each increase in level yields you a ¼ of a stat point for a total of 1.25 points before advancing rank.

Upon Advancing from No-Rank to Alpha, you earn a Bonus ½  of a point, totaling 1.75 points before ever leveling up in the new rank.

The Alpha-Rank goes from 0-10 and yields ½ a stat point when increasing your level. When you reach Beta-Rank, the rank up nets you ¾ of a stat point; so by the time you reach Beta-Rank, a Basic Human has only earned a measly 7.5 Stat points.

Although Beta-Rank's level chart increased the max level, like with every rank before, it started at 0, only now the max level is 20. Continuing with the fractional increase, you earn ¾ of a stat point per level up; therefore, you can gain 15 points in the Beta-Rank, with an additional entire point upon ranking up, netting you 16 stat points by way of the Beta Rank.

Up next was my Current Rank, Gamma, whose levels span from 0-30 presently; I was sitting at level 23, barely halfway through the rank, because it was annoyingly difficult to increase after Evolving to High Human.

Regardless, finally, after advancing through multiple ranks, you earn a single point from leveling in the Gamma Rank, and according to Brenden, you get, as expected, 1.25 bonus stat points for Ranking up to Delta.
