The Meeting (3)

Continuing to play my part, I stood in place for a second, swaying side to side as if contemplating my next move before giving a couple of nods to Jennifer and hopping up into the chair, which she then gently pushed forward so I would have a spot at the table.

"This is preposterous; you are overstepping your bounds, Miss Rowing; not only have you forced us all to gather for this meeting, but you also brought a what, four, maybe five-year-old along with you." One of the four people with no name stated in a hoarse voice.

With the level of anger in his voice, I half expected him to begin pounding the table with his fists to add dramatic effect; unfortunately, as comical as that would be, he didn't.

"I agree with Chairman Langston; it's quite counterintuitive to drag us all away from our busy work…
