The NightWalkers (5)

No matter how fast my attacks moved, it seemed able to adapt and counter everything I threw at it. Unlike us, who would eventually collapse from exhaustion, this monster was a ball of energy and had yet to show even a hint of being tired.

As promised, two minutes later, the speed of my pillars drastically dropped off to such a point that the NightWalker was able to outpace them with its destruction, and just like that, it was free again.

"COO COO GAOOO!" Releasing a bone-chilling chuckle, the monster's head snapped in my direction, and it vanished for a split second before reappearing and kicking me center mass with such force that I felt as if my guts were coming out of my throat.

However, instead of launching me, it bounced me off the ground and caught me before slamming me head-first into the mountain, cracking my helmet with a single collision of rock and metal and allowing me to see the outside world.
