Escape (Part One)

With each successful shot, Nora swiftly turned her gun towards the next target and fired again.

Her shooting frequency was remarkably high, almost one shot every three seconds. Search, lock, shoot, then search again, lock, and shoot. Laser beams erupted from the barrel, each shot claiming a soldier's life.

Soldiers quickly noticed Nora's presence and began firing back at her. Two heavy cannons shifted their aim towards Nora.

"Nora, get out of there!" Reno warned loudly. An excellent sniper should change position after each shot, but Nora had completely abandoned evasion in favor of rapid attack.

As the heavy cannons shifted, Nora finally stopped shooting and ran for cover.

Boom! Boom! A series of explosions echoed.

"Nora!" Reno shouted.

"I'm still alive," Nora coughed, sitting up. Her chest was marked by a bloody gash from the explosion.

But Nora paid it no mind. She stood up again, murmuring, "Come on, you little rabbits."

She ran forward, her figure gradually fading into the distance until it was barely visible.

Meanwhile, laser beams continued to shoot from the gun barrel.

These lasers seemed to emerge from nowhere, suddenly appearing and piercing through soldiers one after another like specters.

The soldiers had never seen such a sight before. They screamed in fear as the previously rampant heavy cannons were finally suppressed by Nora.

At the same time, the energy of the transport ship continued to rise rapidly, and the ship had begun its slow start, gradually detaching from the dock.

"Nora, get ready to come back! Energy boost complete, the ship is about to accelerate!" Reno said.

"I know!" Nora holstered her gun and ran back. Just as she was about to enter the elevator, Nora suddenly saw a figure in the distance.

She stopped in her tracks and looked towards the distance.

"Nora, what are you doing? Hurry up and come in!" Reno noticed that Nora's marker suddenly stopped outside the ship.

"I saw an old friend," Nora replied. "Want to go fishing? Or maybe you want to divide your forces for us!"

She raised her gun abruptly and fired towards the darkness in the distance.

"Ahh!" A strange howl suddenly sounded. The sharp and mournful sound was like the cry of a night owl, causing discomfort to everyone's eardrums.

A dark figure darted out of the darkness, emanating a wild aura.

It was a bio-human!

He had a long and sly face, with a long tail dragging behind him, and a bloody hole on his left chest. While this should have been a fatal wound, it seemed inconsequential to the bio-human, who stood there emitting a roar of anger and pain towards Nora.

This undoubtedly caught the attention of the soldiers.

"Oh my god, what is that?" A soldier asked in amazement.

"Who cares what it is, kill it!" Another soldier aimed his gun at the bio-human.

Laser beams shot towards the bio-human, but before the light reached him, the bio-human agilely dodged, leaping like a monkey onto the nearby wall and running along it with remarkable agility. He evaded the soldiers' laser shots with ease, leaving everyone stunned.

"Damn it!" A sergeant cursed. He raised his gun and aimed at the bio-human. While laser weapons were accurate and powerful, they could hardly be fired continuously. Each shot required a pause, making the laser's slow rate of fire its biggest drawback.

As he was about to take another shot, something suddenly flew out of the darkness and entangled the sergeant's laser gun, sending it flying. The gun collided repeatedly in the air, knocking down a group of soldiers.

At that moment, everyone saw that it was a tongue.

Following this terrifying tongue, they saw a figure with intricate patterns crawling on the ceiling, hanging upside down and staring at them with cold eyes.

The horrifying face sent chills down everyone's spine.

The soldiers instinctively reached for their guns. Just then, another roar sounded.

A figure rushed into the crowd like the wind. It was a guy covered in colorful patterns like a fierce tiger. He swung his claws and plunged them into the chest of the sergeant, tearing him in half.

More bio-humans appeared, rushing towards the soldiers on the dock.

One bio-human lunged towards Nora.

"I didn't invite you over," Nora said coldly. She raised her hand and fired a shot without even locking on. The laser struck the bio-human, knocking it out of the air.

After firing the shot, Nora smirked. "Tell Miss Stephanie, we've taken note of this. This time, what we collect is interest!"

She locked onto another bio-human. "Explosive grenade!"

Facing the resilient bio-humans, lasers were not very effective. Switching to more powerful explosives was undoubtedly a better choice.

Boom!

A bio-human charging forward suddenly had its head blown open with a bang.

"Ahh! Hiss!" All the bio-humans roared furiously at Nora.

However, the transport ship had gradually moved away from the dock. While the bio-humans were fierce in close combat, they didn't like using weapons. For a while, they couldn't do anything to Nora and could only vent their anger on the soldiers.

Nora had already aimed at another target.

This time, instead of killing, she shot and broke the opponent's leg with a single shot.

Shot after shot, the bio-humans became furious with rage.

Fortunately, Reno's urging came again, "Nora, get back on the ship quickly! We're leaving; they've started closing the gates!"

Nora looked back and saw the massive alloy gate at the distant port slowly descending from above.

Once the gate closed, the transport ship would be trapped.

Nora turned and ran towards the elevator.

"Full speed ahead!" in the command hall, Reno was also shouting loudly.

The transport ship officially began to accelerate, and not only that, but the energy shield also began to slowly activate.

From all sides of the port, a large number of shuttles were rushing out, attempting to intercept the transport ship.

Reno piloted the transport ship, his gaze focused, continuously increasing the speed.

The distant gate was still dropping, nearly halfway closed.

Reno pushed the accelerator to the maximum, flames billowing from the rear of the transport ship as it sped towards the exit.

Watching the gate continue to descend, everyone's spirits were stretched tight.

The gunfire from the shuttles continued to pound the ship. The transport ship was like a wild horse galloping towards the port.

Closer and closer!

"Faster! Faster! Just a bit faster!" Almost everyone was shouting, even holding their breath.

"Oh no, we're going to crash!" Wang Yile had already concluded that if they continued like this, a collision would be unavoidable, and he shouted in panic.

"We won't crash!" Reno shouted back.

His hands tightly gripped the right-wing control lever of the transport ship, pushing it to the limit as the ship began to tilt to the right.

His mind was highly focused at that moment, as if he suddenly felt the existence of the entire ship.

To be precise, the structure of the entire ship was flying rapidly and vividly present in his mind.

This cognition brought about an understanding derived from learned knowledge, yet it was clearer and more intuitive than that, like a holographic image that appeared directly in Reno's mind through some magical means.

Not only that, Reno could even see a force flowing within it.

That was telekinesis, the magical energy he possessed.

As his cognition rapidly spread along this image, what he didn't know was that at that moment, everyone saw large bursts of light erupting from Reno's hands, as if currents were flowing from the console and spreading rapidly throughout the ship.

Then, the transport ship began to tilt, turn, and even accelerate at an incredible speed!

Like an arrow released from a bow, it rushed towards the closing gate. Just before the alloy gate completely closed, it shot out through the gap, heading towards the vast and distant space. The explosions of shuttles crashing into the gate followed behind.

"We did it!" Everyone shouted together.

Looking back at Reno, they saw his eyes roll back, and he had already collapsed to the ground.
