CHAPTER SIX: HE HAS IT IN HIM!

THE HOODED ONE'S POINT OF VIEW.

I analyse Rave proficiently, he would be a rather good looking young man if he wasn't always scowling, no…not just good looking -very attractive- he has slick black hair, sharp hooded eyes, pupils a clear, crystal blue, an elegantly pointed nose and lips a pale red hue, he is muscular and tall, with skin clear and fine, some scars are the only teint to absolute body perfection, presently he stands with his knees bent, shirtless, he's sweating profusely because of the heavy weights I have placed on his palms, -I am getting tired of his endurance- "It has been three hours already…why wouldn't you give in?" I ask wearily "I like to push myself to the extreme…in order to guarantee my success" he mumbles exaughstedly, I muse to myself "Very well then…" with a wave of magic, I increase the weights by a hundred, he groans in pain, but maintains his balance -this annoys me- , I increase the weights again this time he yells out in pain, his palms are bleeding but -he's still standing- I sigh in defeat as I carry the weights away, he immediately falls down face flat -he's beat- "You're something else aren't you?" I question monotonously, then I continue "Most of my students ask what the point of physical training is… they always complain and some even neglect it...you're the first who has accepted-no embraced it…" I am pleased, because without a doubt I'm certain -he has it in him-

The beast finally drops, I sigh in relief…then I drop as well, my eyes close slowly as my body is hauled out of the cage, before I completely lose consciousness, I smile -I survived-

*************

I wake up with a start, I find myself on my bed, panting, my sleep was plagued by nightmares full of the horrible beasts, crawling all over me, chanting "Fail…Fail…Fail" I gasp in terror at the realistic nature of the nightmare "Rough sleep?" Taki asks, breaking my reminisces, she lays down on her bed -as if she's dead-, I smile -we unexpectedly made an excellent team- "Many people died.." Taki mentions sombrely "We're even fewer left than what was estimated…so…" she pauses, "They're combining our training with the mage students" I gasp as I sit up "That's a horrible idea…right?" I preeve, Taki shrugs "I think it would be rather exciting…" she grins "Plus…I think it will improve 'friendly' competition" she stresses on the 'friendly' -actually-, it's now I feel the adrenaline pumping -I am more excited than I thought-

THE HOODED ONE'S POINT OF VIEW.

I stare around the Council table, and what do I see?-idiots-, idiots everywhere…I am notably silent -everyone else is not- such an honorable hall is full of idiotic talk and unnecessary hassle, I smile-I wonder if Rave is still at the exercise I gave him- "SECOND UPPER MAGE" this address snaps me out of my thinking, my nerves become alert, "Yes…Upper mage…" my tone is playful -my countenance is not- the atmosphere tenses, as the Upper mage sighs heavily, "What do you think about the combo?", I stare at him, he stares back at me, trying hard to read my expressions, -my hood permits him not-, I shrug "It's not so bad an idea"
