Jun Ye handed the bag of twisted doughnuts to his younger brother and then reached out to take the Little Princess from Grandfather Yao's arms.
The sobbing Little Princess, upon entering the familiar embrace, seemed to settle down, her eyelids fighting to stay open, a bit drowsy and ready to drift off to sleep. Clearly, if this child hadn't been upset with her mother, she would have been too tired and wanting to sleep much earlier.
A group of people shook their heads and wagged their tongues upon seeing this: "Why does this child have such a big temper?"
Jun Ye sat in the living room holding the child.
Manman came out of the restroom, saw him holding the child, and her lips curled upward in a smile despite being equally upset, she said, "It was you who said not to indulge her. She didn't want to sleep with you tonight, just crying here. I wanted to see how long she could cry!"
