Upon hearing that Mother Chen was visiting, everyone in the office tensed up. Jun Ye then told the reporter, "Please let her in."

When Mother Chen entered the office, she noticed Jun Ye was not alone; inside, Yao Ke and Wensheng Zhao were standing in front of the sofa, as if waiting for her.

"Please have a seat, Auntie," Jun Ye said.

Mother Chen, with no other choice, picked a spot on the sofa meant for guests. Just as she sat down, a duty soldier promptly served her a cup of tea, being very attentive and polite.

Jun Ye walked over from his office desk and pulled up a chair in front of her. Yao Ke also sat opposite her, while Wensheng Zhao retreated to a farther spot.

"I didn't expect Yao Ke to be here," Mother Chen said with a forced smile.

"Aunty Chen, you're too polite," Yao Ke replied. "Aunty Chen, you were one of the elders who watched us grow up. Just call me Ziye."
