Chapter 46: The Game Begins

"The game! What could this game be that they're talking about?" Dough snarled, his fists clenched at his sides as suspicion coiled like a serpent in his gut. His eyes narrowed, burning with a mixture of anger and betrayal as he glared at the oblivious figures across the room. "Ava's association with Liam these days is very fishy. I need to find out what this is truly all about."

Dough's mind raced, piecing together the fragments of the conversation he had overheard, his lips curling into a sneer. "So these people left me and went to meet Liam. This is just getting interesting." A bitter laugh erupted from his throat, dripping with contempt. "I wouldn't get this investment, but Liam would get it either. You know, I can use this to unveil and scatter whatever they both have together. This is just getting interesting."
