Chapter 50

Huang Yanyan's POV:

He wasn't alone this time though. Several much older, harder-faced characters trailed along in his wake, looking distinctly out of place amongst the smattering of blazer-wearing students busily getting their lunch. My eyes narrowed as I took in the rough-looking group - these weren't just Zhao Ming's usual idiotic flunkies.

Something about the way the older guys carried themselves, all coiled aggression and watchful stances, set off blaring alarm bells in my gut. A couple even had those telltale bulges under baggy jackets that screamed they were packing heat. My street instincts were screaming that I was staring down a bunch of hired muscle - punks and thugs that the little bastard Zhao Ming had somehow managed to smuggle onto campus during the busy lunch rush.
