Infront of me was my father seated on his chair, he looked away from the document he was holding and focused his attention onto me.
"So what will be the training?" I straight away asked about the training mentioned during breakfast to which he gave a smile.
"The length of the training will depend on you, the quicker you progress the shorter the duration of the training but the longest it can last will be up to only 5 years due to the Luxurion Academy. You must had already been informed about this by Cecilia because she probably felt guilty for not telling you about the training before. But what she didn't mention is that if you complete the training within 5 years you will receive a reward, the quicker you complete it the greater the value of the reward you will be awarded with." Michael paused for a few seconds for me to digest the information.
"Then what exactly is the training I will have to do?"
"You will have to decide what you want your training to be". The reply stunned me for a second until I recovered my composure which happened very quickly.
"What do you mean?" I questioned with evident confusion.
"What I mean is you will be the one deciding how you want to train, all I would do is judge your progress every month and advise you on what you are lacking. You can even request me anything related to your training, as long as I deem it as an acceptable request I will fulfill it otherwise I will reject your request".
"Why is it like this?"
Michael amused by the question answered "This is because your future is in your hands. You need to realise what you need to improve on and how to improve in it yourself because I won't always be there for you like in the academy. Here your family will support your growth unconditionally and even give you pointers which will be the same in the academy. However you will have less of it there because you won't be the only student attending so the teachers can't spend all their time on you. I'm trying to prepare you, Lazarus to become more independent and become capable enough to do things without your family support. We can't always be there for you in certain scenarios. So what I am telling you to do will only help prepare yourself for the future in case we are not there for you."
Lazarus began to ponder on Mochael's words.
"I understand, so can I make a request which will aid me in training right now?" Lazarus inquired after he finished pondering.
"Be my guest" Michael was very encouraging and appreciated Lazarus's quick decision.
"Then I would first like to get someone to aid me in training. I don't believe I am prepared to go in dungeons so I need someone to help me become good enough for it".
"A wise choice that is Lazarus, I will accept your request but the person who would train you will only be able to start from tomorrow."
"It's fine"
Lazarus turned around and left the office, instead of going back to his room he chose to head towards the training room.
Training Room.
After successfully arriving in the training room Lazarus looked around and headed towards the weapon racks after catching it in sight.
Infront of him were various weapons ranging from a sword, spear, bow and daggers and more.
He opted to pick a sword, mainly because of his Ravenblade bloodline talent which is yet to awaken but will inevitably come. As he would have more talent for a sword after it awakens Lazarus believed it would be a good choice to have a sword as his weapon and become familiar with it.
I took a long and careful look at the sword in my hands, took a few swings as a test to get a feel of it. I grinned as I continuously gazed at it, being stimulated by a feeling of exhileration only because it was a sword. I mean who wouldn't want to wield a sword, just look at how awesome and cool it is. It's probably the dream of all men to walk the world with a sword by their side and achieve glorious feats.
Unfortunately my admiration for the sword was cut short as my dear sister yelled at me as soon as she entered to training room "Rus you're too young to play with a real sword, put it back and grab that wooden sword!"
My mood turned gloomy as my excitement dimmed and eventually vanished. She hurried towards me and before I could put the sword away myself she snatched it out of my hands.
"I will be keeping it because I will be practicing with a sword anyways, so now stop paying attention to me and grab the wooden sword otherwise forget about training at all!".
Sister sounded so authoritative today as she scolded me, I have never seen her like this other than the few times I did things she considered dangerous which I clearly didn't believe were dangerous at all. I sighed in regret and reluctantly took the wooden sword and began my training to grow familiar with swords.
