Satisfied with the destruction around him and the dwindling life forces he sensed, Berkah lowered his gaze to his foot, which was saturated in blood, dripping on scorched earth.

"Just where did you go?"

The Third was no longer beneath his foot and was not anywhere else within Berkah's immediate field of vision either, as though he'd vanished into thin air.

[... That's a Griffin, huh? It looks cooler than I imagined it would.]

His eyes lingered on the beast that glared daggers at him, parts of its fur and feathers burnt despite its attempts to shield itself.

Lowering his gaze to the Griffin's talons, Berkah saw Nicolai, who was on the verge of death. The only thing keeping him alive seemed to be the vampiric ability to somewhat regenerate.

But since Nicolai was a half-vampire, his regenerative ability was honestly dismissible, it only served to lessen his hemorrhaging at best.
