Revenge For Me

"So the one…" you cheat with.. Was I all along? The words kept digging his throat, yet it did not come out from his mouth. Lenhart remembered that night. He had run to get her but he was late. He had seen her leaving in the carriage, decorated with red and white.

He had seen her leaning on the closed window. Her maids laughed and the crowd danced and cheered. One would believe that he had stopped there. But he did not. He ran behind her until he had reached the estate of her husband and he could not follow anymore.

She had taken two steps. He had roamed in front of their tents. If she had taken the initiative, he would have helped her in running away. But she did not. She looked so normal to him.

Eating freely, offering a smile to someone who approached her. That day, he had never forgotten that day even for a second. That day was etched into his soul like an old wound that could not be healed.
