Our vows

The next morning, I woke to the sound of soft breathing beside me. Raven was still asleep, her face peaceful in the early morning light. The events of the previous day had been exhilarating, and the joy of planning our wedding had left us both tired but content. I watched her for a moment, taking in the delicate curve of her cheek, the way her lips curved slightly in sleep, and the gentle rise and fall of her chest.

Careful not to wake her, I slipped out of bed and padded quietly to the kitchen. The apartment was still and silent, the soft golden light of dawn just beginning to filter through the windows. I decided to surprise Raven with breakfast in bed. As I set to work, I felt a sense of profound happiness. The simple act of preparing a meal for her filled me with a quiet joy.
